Billins, just because he's played in the NHL already. Once he's out, I'm probably done voting. Don't know enough to make a decision at that point.

Gotta go with Billins. He only just turned 25 and he never looked that out of place in the NHL. Obviously, Treliving and Burke saw something in him. Enough to tender his contract.

I'm beating a dead horse at this point, but no 25 year old should be referred to as a prospect. I think next year there needs to be an age cap on the term 'prospect'.

IMO, players 24+ who are not in the NHL should just be labelled as 'Minor Pro' players.

I agree, I would go a step further and say when a players is drafted out of the CHL or Europe, 23+ should be the cut off. Maybe an extra year for the college guys. 5 years is quite a bit of time to see what you have in a player. When they're going through waivers unclaimed, I don't see how you can classify them as a prospect at that point.

Gotta be Ramage finally, I'm hoping he'll surprise a few folks this season.

Ramage should have been picked 5 or 6 picks a go at least...he will surprise. No way he has fallen that far down the list.

Billins for me. He already cam play in the NHL as a depth d-man. We will see what a year in the KHL does for his game.

I for one never have a problem with a guy going to the ECHL and then alter his game, grow, and return to the AHL.

If his return to AHL hockey is mediocre then the wheels come off ... but if he finds his pro confidence and then starts developing its just part of the process.

The guy was pretty incredible in the Alaska playoff run, good story if he continues on.

That's fair. I have never been that high on Ramage though and I didn't like him on the Heat. That said, he is a RH shot and plays a physical game from the defensive position. Things lacking in the Flames system. So I would love for him to have a great season.

I think Ramage is closer to Nemisz than Ortio. But I hope you get to quote this next year and make me look silly.
