Voting for Jankowski again, with Sieloff & Reinhart as other considerations.
Going to pick a goalie top 10, but cannot decide between Ortio/Gillies/McDonald. 3 very solid options.

Ortio or Gillies.
Ortio had a rocky development but is really looking promising as a pro, whereas Gillies has shown to be elite throughout his development process.

Jankowski isn't putting up enough offense for me to consider yet. There was defenseman on his own team putting up more points than him as the 2nd line centre.

It's Ortio all the way for me now. The guy will be a legit starting goalie in the NHL.

Janko for me this round. It's a toss up between him and Gillies, and whomever wins this round (I'm kind of assuming Gillies will), then I'll vote for the other.

Went with Gillies again, but I haven't an issue with any of Ortio, Reinhart, Jankowski at this point. They all make sense.
Talking about previous years, and less depth ... don't you guys think a guy like Gilmour would have been one of those guys in previous years given his strong development camp? He went from a guy they drafted that plays with Gillies and Jankowski, to a guy that stood out like Culkin and and Kulak. Guessing in previous years he'd be that top 6 guy that we'd all be counting on to continue advancing.

Jankowski here. Big skilled center with the right attitude and commitment to getting better.

Stats don't paint the whole picture with Jankowski. I won't re-hash the entire debate from the last 2 polls, but there's no doubt in my eyes that he's a top 10 prospect on this team. If he drops further than that it isn't indicative of his potential as much as it's a sign the prospect pool is getting very deep.

You're right that stats aren't everything. But Janko wasn't drafted as a defensive centre or energy grinder. He was drafted as a bonafide #1 centre.
Now thats unfair to Janko and its not his fault Feaster's comments and projections were way off base. That's just cruel. But we still have guys like Reinhart, Agostino, and Arnold who have equal or similar or greater skill sets than Janko.
To me, Janko should not be above Reinhart, Gillies or Ortio. Perhaps there's a fair argument for him being above everyone else, but not these guys.

I get the love for Jankowski, and will probably start voting his way in the next few rounds unless he wins this one. For me, one of the three goaltenders will form just as significant a piece towards building in the future, and at least two of them project to be excellent at the position. Ortio had a phenomenal year for a 23-year old, and essentially playing his first full season of NA pro hockey. He looks to be a great option by the time he is 25, which should also be in time for the Flames to start cashing in on their good drafting and development from the past few years, and is also in line for when goalies generally begin to emerge.

There is still a sizeable contingent on this board who feel pretty strongly that Feaster's optimistic projections were certainly not "off base." There have been a myriad of factors that contribute to explaining exactly why Jankowski can still be considered to have an elite level ceiling despite his slower trajectory and low offensive output from the past season.
In short, you have every right to feel that Feaster was wrong about him, but it is still too early to be making these sorts of sweeping generalisations about his future.

I don't think so. Sieloff understandably will drop a bit this year because of his injuries and staff infection. He is a full year behind now, and will take additional time to re-track. There is still even the chance that he won't get back in line.

Voted Max Power here as his transition into one of the Heats best players last season warrants being here on the list.
