Finally Breen gets a spot on the list, I've been voting for him for every poll after Klimchuk.
I really hope this kid can translate his game to the NHL well.

I feel Berra should be getting a spot in the top 20. My cots will be going to him until he wins a poll.

Up until now, I think the prospects have largely been ranked by a combination of their ceiling and likelihood to reach that ceiling. I think Bouma's current floor and likely ceiling of a 4th line grinder earn him a spot in the top 20.
I'm also somewhat curious why Reto Berra is getting more love than Joni Ortio at this point. Ortio put up a 2.42, .917 year as a 21 year old in the SM-liiga. Pretty good numbers and arguably a higher ceiling than Berra.

AltaGuy has a magnetic personality and exudes positive energy, which is infectious to those around him. He has an unparalleled ability to communicate with people, whether he is speaking to a room of three or an arena of 30,000.

Picked Culkin. Again. Truly think he may have a ceiling as high as Brodie's.

Still voting Culkin. I think he will be an NHL defenseman...just a hunch.

We're at round 20 and we still have guys on the list with a legitimate NHL shot: Bouma, Culkin, Kulak, Ferland, Hanowski.
Even Elson, Harrison, and Kanzig have an outside shot right now. Really speaks to the depth in the organization.
We still need top end talent at a few positions, but it is light years better than a few short years ago.

Picked Bouma. There is a time that proven worth out weighs potential. Sure a few players so far ignored may turn out well but there is too little data to project that will happen. As for the two goalies left, I like their potential but goalies are a crap shoot.

This one was tough. Bouma is almost a sure fire NHLer now albeit in a supporting role. I don't see him maxing out as anything more than a 4th liner, he will make it there though. Berra on the other hand has the potential to be a game changer. Not saying he will be, but Berra to me can be anything from a starting goalie (high impact) to an AHL back-up(low impact). Because of the potential to be a high impact player, I went with Berra.

Bouma, though there is something about Harrison that makes me think he'll play. He might be next on my list oddly.

Kanzig again. Bouma will play but his upside is small enough that a prospect with a little more sizzle does it for me at this stage in the game.

I don't really think Bouma is a prospect with 40 NHL games already under his belt.
Berra doesn't really fit the prospect mold in my mind either. He is a 26 year old European UFA. I really hope he starts the season with Ramo on the big club and pushes MacDonald to the trade wire.
Culkin, Kulak, Harrison, Ferland and Hanowski are my other considerations. I really hope that Ortio can get back into the spotlight and show why everyone was so excited about him a couple years ago. Him and Brossoit should be a good tandem for the Heat.

hoping Nemisz rebounds from his injuries and leads the Heat in scoring this season. Its easy to forget he had a very good playoffs for the Heat about 15 months ago
