Head told me to select Rafikov; went with gut and "Ortsa" - Ortio!
Still my favourite player interview I've done - back in 2009.
Link to interview at THW
(great comment he made on Toni Rajala)

Ortio has reasonable potential to be an NHL starting goalie. No idea how he has fallen so far off the radar. Easy pick.

I think it's a long shot for any of the rest of the players on this list to make the NHL, especially some of the older players. Because of that, I will abstain from voting for the rest of the prospects.
It will be interesting, however, to see how this plays out.

Everyone that I wanted included in the ranking is now in. So my vote is now for sale.

Went with Nemisz, totally okay with both Harrison and Ortio votes. Those guys round out the top 30 for me.

TTC vote Rafikov! I cannot offer anything other than my admiration for your intellect. Anything other than that would be dishonest.

What's funny is that even though the rest of the list isn't all that impressive, there's only a couple players who I would say have NO shot at the NHL right now. Doesn't mean it can't change, but for now I would say their likelihood is nil.
Deblouw
Eddy
Gordon
Gilmour
Howse
Jooris
Martin
Even Jooris, Deblouw, and Gilmour I'm not sure about. That means that by the end we will have 30+ prospects that have a shot at the NHL, albeit some have a legitimately smaller chance than others, but I wouldn't count them out. Far cry from just a couple years ago when I would have said maybe 7 or 8 have a real shot at the NHL.

I remember being relatively excited about Ryan frickin' Howse a few years ago. We were grasping at anything then, but shame about his development.

Out of those I agree with Eddy, Howse and Martin.
I think Deblouw, Gilmour and Jooris have a chance. Gordon I know almost nothing about.

Went with Elson for second straight time. Appears to be a heart and soul guy to me. If I remember correctly a couple of posters were pleasently surprised with his play at development camp. Not going to wow you with skill but does all the little things and is a leader type. Seems like a coachs dream reliability wise.

Same here. I was pretty stoked that Howse looked like the kind of player that would help boost the Flames prospect pool. Then the reports started coming in about bad fitness and injuries and basically not being able to find his game.
I keep hoping that another year of maturity will help kickstart his pro career but I have pretty much written him off with the Flames acquiring so many other prospects that can fill the same need.

Howse is an example of the many shiny new toys who crash and burn when having to take the next step. This is why I voted for Nemisz again. He's proven AHL calibre and still has some upside.
I'm wondering if in a few years Jankowski will be in the same position as Nemisz is now, I hope not but in the end very few make it.
