18 players in and Arnold gone ... my list gazing gave me Harrison this time.
A guy that is already exceeding expectations, and has the size, speed and jam to be an effective agitator some day.

Kanzig. I think he has the potential to be a very effective player. Can't wait to see him go up against some nhlers, admittly at least a year out.

Kanzig. Don't care if Breen or Bouma 'are practically NHLers'. I see Kanzig's upside higher and that's what matters.

He gets my support next round...just because he is such an unknown, yet very intrigueing prospect.

Bouma for me. Barring another injury he should be in the NHL this year.

I've picked Breen the last few polls. I think with his size and compete, he is ready for the NHL.

Culkin for me. He's a solid all-around defenseman with a possible offensive upside. Seems very intelligent. His development track is still a couple years away, but I like what I've seen so far.

Kanzig. If the guy can develop into a Zdeno Chara type player, I think every one of us will be kicking ourselves for letting him fall to round 19 of this poll.

Sure and if Bouma can develop into a Wayne Gretzky type people will be kicking themselves and if Roy can develop into a Orr type people will be kicking themselves.

That's a really tall order that should have every one of us ecstatic, and should simultaneously shield Jay Feaster from any future criticism for life.
If Kanzig becomes a reliable NHL defenseman, then he is in the conversation at this point. If he becomes anything better than a bottom pairing defenseman (and I personally believe this is his upside here), then he is should win this round hands down.

Breen again for me.
People picking Kanzig over Breen are, in my opinion, doing so only because he's the shiny new toy. Kanzig projects to be what Breen is right now (large, stay at home defenceman playing in the AHL who might be a decent injury call up). Sure Kanzig's huge, but Breen is bigger.

I believe in the Pony Power

Berra. Goalies develop at a slower pace and he's still young enough to be a long-term solution in net. Not saying he WILL be, but the fact he could be a #1 goalie gives him a far higher ceiling than most guys on this list.
On the basis of potential impact alone - I go with Berra.

It's pretty hard to compare Berra (who could be a good goalie but will likely be nothing) to Bouma (who will play in the NHL but tops out as a 4th liner). It depends what you are looking for in the prospect pool
I voted Berra but would probably change to Bouma because I don't see very many prospects in the system that are like him (that are close to NHL ready)

Went with Ferland. If he can make the jump to the pros, his skillset, size and physicality could be something to be very excited about.
I think there are guys that are closer to the big leagues (bouma, breen) and other possible high reward guys like culkin/kulak remaining.

Our Jessica Fletcher

21.37% for each of Bouma/Breen/Berra
I wonder if a seperate poll should be done that only has these 3 guys, and it would be for spots 19, 20, and 21?

I am picking Kanzig because I think with 3 years of development he will be better then Breen and be a solid 5-6. He will never be Chara. I think he projects to more of a Hal Gill type. According to the ISS he was given a high mark for hoceky IQ and they say he is an average skater. Combined with his size is why I think he will be better then Breen after some years of development. It is difficult to compare/project players 6 years apart but that is just what I think.
