Culkin again until he's gone. He was on a similar path as Kulak until Kulak's breakout year.

I'll go with Culkin. Could show some improvement and Kulak's surpassed him but he had a solid showing at rookie camp.

Well there's our top 20 for summer 2014, good work everyone, still getting 200 votes per round.

I went with Culkin over Hickey ... more developed

Culkin again. He is sort of the forgotten man in this prospect pool.

Strange that Culkin went just behind Kanzig in last year's pool as well.

I am picking Hickey - he will take a while to develop, but the base is there for a good player. I was initially not sure of the pick, but he is winning me over.

Culkin for me here. Smart, good skating PMD who has leadership abilities? Sign me up! Flames were looking at him for a long time last season's camp thinking he was ready to turn pro, but ended up just barely not making the cut. Goes on to have a near ppg with Quebec last season before getting traded to Drummondville, and I believe he got an 'A' on his new team. PPG in the playoffs for his team.

Culkin will be an nhl player, and at 6'2", not an undersized one either. I am not sure if other prospects are that much better, or if Culkin has just become a bit forgotten, but at #21 it makes it hard to believe someone that is developed as much with as much potential is still available.

Damn, how did Kanzig pass over some of these guys?! He might be the biggest embarrassment in terms of selection when looking at this next year. Unless he actually generates some points pretty soon, I'm not sure how he he's justifiably better than a lot of those names still on the board.

Roy or Culkin are the obvious selections IMO. I'm pretty confused right now. Are people picking from the gut? As if a guy like Harrison has a cool sounding name even though he didn't score a goal last year?

He's a stay-at-home dman, why are you judging him on point totals?

Last year with the Royals he got matched up against the top players and did fine in his own end.

History seems to say, if you can't put up some points in junior, you don't have the skill to be a stay at home defenceman in the NHL.

Same argument is used for Sieloff's chances.

Hal Gill put up 3 points in 31 games in his freshman year at college, and 4 points in 26 games in his sophomore year. Kanzig is a similar type of player.

And history doesn't always dictate the future. Junior has gotten lower scoring over the years so always trying to judge based on past history can be misleading.

Sieloff in particular doesn't lack puck skills. He can move the puck despite his lack of points. That isn't going to hold him back IMO. There's a reason why many of us think he'll be an NHLer.
