Default Jersey Poll - All Time #9
Did this five years ago, thought it might be interesting again. Always fun to see younger fans and older fans arguing over different generations in a battle.

Will put one up a day whenever possible.

Have fun! and Go old guys!

How it works:

I pick off a key group of players for each jersey. I don't use every name, as that gets tedious and unnecessary (probably go with say 5 unless there are many that wore the same number).

I also don't put up a guy for the number he isn't known for (Iginla shouldn't win #24 for example)

Just for trivia: the only other players to wear #9 in Calgary were Don Lever and Denis Cyr.

Bahaha, well done Bingo, well done.

BTW, I voted Lanny 2 because he was no longer a top player, but still played with guts and determination, and couldn't have been a classier and nicer guy. I mean, how many captains of a team play just 51 games out of the year and often get little to no ice time in the playoffs? Then he goes and scores that goal against Montreal in the final game just to top off a great career with a cherry.



Plus, this is my favorite picture of all time. Look at that magnificent beard.

Fun Lanny fact: When the Vancouver Canucks suggested they would draft him third overall in 1973, Lanny threatened to to play in the WHA instead. Even a young McDonald knew that Vancouver is a terrible place to play.
