The right of course dealt with that briefly during the Reform Party years.
Frankly, that’s working against the CPC these days. Since the last election they absorbed the PPC. But that 5 per cent in vote share has come at the cost of making the CPC toxic to more than half of Canadians. In a moderate country like Canada, being able to tack to the centre is a big strategic advantage, as the Liberals have shown time and again. The CPC can’t do that, because they’re terrified of rupturing their base.

It’s still extremely important how that minority shakes out. Whether CPC + Bloc can take down the government or if Elizabeth May or the NDP hold balance of power.

Yup, she's gorgeous.

And a pretty good concession speech by Jagmeet. Dude has his flaws as a leader, but I've always thought of him as a quality human being and a great Canadian.

I'd hope all of the parties would work together to avoid an election while Trump is in charge.

I think if the CPC joins the Bloc to bring the government down, while the NDP votes to keep them in power, it's not going to look good on the CPC.

Singh doesn't have my vote, but he does have my respect.

The country can use more people like him.

Man completely fell on the sword to deliver for Canadians. He has meaningfully improved lives without ever holding the top job. Deserves praise, regardless of what any petty detractors want to say.
