There are 5 seats where the conservatives or Bloc lead the liberals by less than 1%. They need to win all of these and not lose the ones where they are down by 1%
Never mind that still doesn’t do it. They need + 10 not a shift of 10. Very unlikely now. Would need 2.7% leads to disappear with early voting.
But they haven’t called it yet so that means their is a chnace

I’m not sure a single party comes away from this election happy, which also should make them wary of testing the waters quickly by bringing the government down. Somehow, they are going to need to work together to work on issues that need unity to face Trump.
Time for real leadership to show up….i wish I was more confident in it occurring.

I won't be surprised if Jagmeet announces his resignation in this speech.

This was a predictable loss for the Conservatives tonight, and yes, we do live in the best country in the world - but identifying issues and hoping for things to be better does not mean that person is being led astray by a foreign party.
To essentially say that those who are clamouring for change have been influenced by (or are) Russian bots minimizes real issues in this country that thousands of people are facing.
|
There’s wanting change and then there’s saying our country is being destroyed and that they’re struggling while they probably live a pretty amazing life. The people I know who talk like that are top 10%, if not 1%ers, and will be just fine .

Unsure if you're referring to me, but no, I'm saying Thomas Mulcair sucks and he already did enough damage to the NDP when he took over post-Layton. That guy should stay doing whatever the hell it is he does now outside of politics, teaching and being an occasional political talking head.
|
Nope, wasn't referring to you. Just an overall sentiment I've been hearing this election.

What Mulcair is saying is pragmatic, logical, and not just spewing party politics. He, and the others I mentioned would be great to have in some sort of role to help build some unity. That’s what is important, to me, coming out of this election. Stop the silly bickering and get on with fighting the threats to the country.

I've read every comment in this thread, I really hate seeing things like "liberal/conservative tears", its divisive and gets us nowhere. Had there been a Harris administration down here, a conservative govt in Canada wouldn't have been hugely consequential, yes PP uses Trump like lines, but he isn't weapons grade stupid. There is a time myself that I would've voted blue up in Canada as there was a time I voted red living here in the US.
Carney is the leader Canada needs at the moment, like it or not the #$#@ show down south here greatly effects you. Carney comes across as whip smart and is in my opinion is the leader that Canada needs RIGHT NOW. Now is the time to unite as Canadians, as like it or not, we all have a common enemy in the Trump administration.
I'm happy for Canada today, the road ahead is NOT going to be easy. I do believe that you have the right leader in place.

At this point I'm happy with any outcome that doesn't include Elizabeth May holding the balance of power.
