Thinking: Phaneuf after McCrimmon?

Just going to post some numbers so people can get some perspective on the players.

Brad McCrimmon: 3 seasons in Calgary (1987-1990); GP-231, G-16, A-67, P-83, +/-: +109, 37 playoff games.

Jamie Macoun: 9 seasons in Calgary (1982-1991); GP-586, G-62, A-184, P-246, +/-: +210, 84 playoff games.

Dion Phaneuf: 5 seasons in Calgary (2005-2010); GP-378, G-75, A-153, P-228, +/-: +19, Hits-476, 25 playoff games.

I just think Macoun has never received enough credit for his contributions to this franchise.

Macoun gets some bonus points with me for longevity. But the three best regular seasons in franchise history are the three years that McCrimmon patrolled the blue line. He was a major part of those teams. He helped push them to the next level.

I voted McCrimmon...now I feel bad for snubbing Macoun
