15 years from now, Brodie will be #1 or #2. Drafted as a Flame and became a top within 2 years, and a #1 defensemen by 25 years old. If he wins a Norris and a cup and averages 35+ points per season, after a career with the Flames he definitely has a chance to be at the top.
Mcinnis was half a St.louis Blue and Suter was half a Blackhawk/Shark. Both could easily be topped as the best all-time Flames defensemen

Pretty strong arguments for Suter, maybe even Regehr. I went with Reinhart for sentimental reasons.

Suter without a doubt. To this day, what he did here will always be overshadowed by how dominant Chopper was during that era. I also always felt bad that he was hurt/out after Game 5 in the Vancouver series during the '89 run.

As a Flame the only argument in Suter's favour is he put up a lot of points. He wasn't otherwise much of a defenceman until he left the team and learned defence.
I voted for Regehr who was a real defenceman.

That injury is why the trade of Brett Hull & Steve Bozek for Rob Ramage and Rick Wamsley was a good one.
No Ramage after Suter goes down = No Stanley Cup.

Reinhart.
I think he was a better player than Suter.

Morris should be there on the poll. Maybe Musil?

I think you're right but Suter had the longevity.

Regehr - only because I will always hate Suter for cross checking Kariya on an extremely dirty play in the lead up to the Nagano Olympics that led to a severe concussion and probably shortened Kariya's career.

I didn't expect Housley to win, but at least to be competitive. Hmm.

This is already decided not to vote with my head...or my heart...I think I listened to my sense of humour with this vote.
Jay Bow. Best interview ever.

My memory of Reinhart is soiled by the OT goal he scored against the Flames as a Canuck in the 1989 playoffs.
I'm going Suter, then Reinhart. Then probably Macoun and McCrimmon.
