If this doesnt prove once and for all that people need to take whatever a media talking head says with a giant grain of salt then nothing will.
Aaron Ward should be fired tonight.
Just unbelievable how stupid this trade stuff has become.

I'll reserve judgment since I know nothing at all about the players we acquired. Anyone have any info on them aside from when they were drafted? Are they ever projected to be impact players?
We got the first but... can't say I'm loving this at first sight. May sting less if Iggy resigns with the Flames in the offseason.

We couldn't even get a Bennett / Maata / Harrington / Pouliot?
This trade blows. This trade absolutely ####ing blows.
Douglas Murray got traded for slightly less.

Man, I am probably going to start leaking a bit.
So sad.

Can we have Koko back?
The hell is this?
Basically two mid-level prospects and the last pick in the draft for Iggy.

The Penguins now, without a doubt, have the best roster in recent NHL history. There are no questions.

Ultimately I think value wise this is on par with the rumored deal with Boston, before the 1st turned conditional.
I think the russian kid was probably a better prospect than either Pens guy, but both Pens' guys are better than the dman coming in the Bs deal.
Return seems about right - was hoping for Dumolin but that's OK.
Looking forward to seeing what Iggy can do with the Pens. They've always been my 2nd favourite team dating back to when a certain player got traded there years ago.

Return is worse than the Boston deal so far as the players go, better because of the pick. Only reason I'm feeling better is because watching Crosby and Iginla is going to be awesome, and seeing Iginla raise a Cup will be sublime. I don't even want to think of this Calgary shot show for a long while.

Maybe because he likes another deal more, but Iggy vetoed it. In the end, Pitts might be the team that Iggy has chosen all along.

This is one of those rare, brief moments when CP is so gobsmacked it doesn't know how it feels about something.
I was so busy being annoyed at the condition on the Bruins' first round pick, I won't be able to form an opinion on this trade until some time after Christmas.

NHL.com says both players in the deal are to the rights of the pens un-signed draftees.
Really?!? Oh my…

ugh... not pleased with the return. Worse potential than Koko... at least he is highly skilled...
Happy for Jarome, as this is a better chance for him to win the Cup, but honestly, I think this trade might be worse for calgary in terms of "best player in the deal wins" metric
