I like it better than the Boston deal, but still not much better.

Boston playing Pittsburgh the first game in Boston should be interesting...sounds like Iginla picked Pitts over Boston.

I don't want to cheer for Pittsburgh! This really sucks, returns notwithstanding.

I smell Weisbrod on the two named players coming back. In Weisbrod we trust. Sort of.
On the bright side, I can't wait to see the next Pittsburgh game, and Iggy's chances of a cup look 50/50 now - that team is freaking loaded.

First step of a process. We're 500 pounds and sweating after the first step. We don't have the energy to make it up the whole staircase. We'll be right at the top, by the box of donuts, and we'll fall right back down the stairs.

Ya... that's a Stanley Cup roster.
This seemse to me like a pure rebuild trade, not a hey we can patch this with roster players trade. Makes me hopeful more trades are to come.

I believe in the Pony Power
|
Interesting.
Don't know much about the kids - but from what I do know hockey IQ is a strength for both -which is something the Flames say they are looking for.
Ultimately I think value wise this is on par with the rumored deal with Boston, before the 1st turned conditional.
I think the russian kid was probably a better prospect than either Pens guy, but both Pens' guys are better than the dman coming in the Bs deal.
Return seems about right - was hoping for Dumolin but that's OK.
Looking forward to seeing what Iggy can do with the Pens. They've always been my 2nd favourite team dating back to when a certain player got traded there years ago.

As someone who is a huge advocate and follower of college hockey, I have a problem with that.
