The poll ... takes time to put up after you launch the topic
Iginla is the man, but hate that I can't vote Loob as well. Part of wishes Iginla stayed at 24

Iginla better have his jersey retired. He will always be my favorite Flame.

Iginla.
But there is a romanticism to Loob that is inescapable. Point per game player, won the cup, moved back to his home country for his family. He did it right.

Iggy is more important in the grand scheme of things, but went with the sentimental vote.

I voted Iggy, but one has to acknowledge Loob as a great in the 12. Iggy gets the vote for over a decade of service and being a legend for this franchise.

I picked Loob.. he was my favorite player as a kid. Jerome will win this one and over his career and accomplishments with the flames deserves it.........But I can't forget the old favorite.

Two class acts.
Two great Flames.
One might end up playing 2 decades.
The other retired in his prime...28 years old. Who knows how great he would have been if he had stayed longer.

It's Iggy and his numbered has to be retired. He'll win this poll.
But I voted for Loob. He was my favourite player for years and I saw him play again when I lived in Sweden in 1995. He was still one of the best players on the ice.

If we didn't vote for #9, we shouldn't be voting for #12...
...I do love Loob, but Iggy is on another plane, for sure.

Loob man…just loved the guy. If it weren't for the franchise's greatest player ever it would be him.
If he hadn't returned to Sweden at such a young age it might've been him as the greatest #12 ever even with Iginla's accomplishments.
As things are, it has to be Iginla, but I'm hoping Loob gets many a vote here.

Everyone will go with Iggy, but Loob is always going to have a spot in my heart. One of my top five flames of all time.

How embarrassing. Voting anything but Iginla on this one..
Sure Loob won a cup here, but Iginla carried this team on his back in '04.
"Best player to ever wear #12" not.. who is your favorite player to wear #12.

Hakan Loob was a great player but Iginla was the face of this franchise for a decade.

Iggy deserves the same treatment in this poll as Lanny got in the #9 poll. Tsk tsk.
