Omg, please not Jay Bouwmeester.
The Flames accomplished nothing with him.

I personally am voting for Derek Morris and then Bouw tomorrow. Bouw's scoring evaporated when he came here, though I think that was more a product of Sutter's systems than anything, really.

If you would like to organize a write-in campaign for Brennan Evans, be my guest. But I highly doubt he is picked before Sunday.

I have noticed that you seem to be forgetting to include James Patrick on your list.

Of course, that's a great point.
I'll add him in tomorrow.

He isn't somebody whom I always remember. While his best years were with NYR, he was still fairly good in Calgary. If my memory can do anything right, he had some sort of an injury that hampered his ability to perform as well as he wanted to, but he still put in a few more years after he left Calgary.

345 games over 6 seasons in Buffalo after his Flames tenure. The only serious injury I see listed for him is a knee injury in '96. He regularly played 70+ games a season for the Rangers, Whalers, and Flames before the injury, but only played 60 or more games in a season three times in the remaining 7 seasons of his career.

why bouwmeester? guy was garbage here, and the time when he finally figured it out, and was somewhat useful, the team generally sucked.
Cory Sarich, he was here for a while, during the time the team was competitive. He should be voted in for that hit on Marleau in the playoffs that sprung that big comeback alone!
edit. ^^ completely agreed! How bouwmeester gets votes and Aucoin isn't an option is absurd. Aucoin was an extremely valuable dman on the team when it was competitive and making the playoffs.

Yeah helped solidify the top 4 for the few seasons he was here. I remember thinking he was a PP specialist when we got him then being surprised at how good he was as an overall player. Really underrated guy.

Aucoin was only here for two years, but then again, so was Hammer.
Added tomorrow.

Derek Morris.
Then Frank Musil, Zarley Zalapski, and Tommy Albelin.

How is Leopold not getting more love? He anchored our best pairing with Regehr for a number of seasons and played huge role in the cup run. I'm confused as to how Bouwmeester or even frikkin' Morris have more votes.

Because people aren't taking this seriously and are just picking the funniest player?

That isn't true.
The top 3 vote-getters at this point are Bouwmeester, Morris, and Warrener. That's reasonable, IMO.
