If Lomberg is getting votes then everyone below him must have no hope of an NHL career

Dmitri Zavgorodny!

He killed it at the Hlinka tournament. 10pts in 5 games. Good first year in NA too with 47pts in 62 games.

Unpopular vote but I like Fischer. I think he has 4th line upside.

Here I was thinking I’d know how to pronounce his name after watching that... I’m not even sure they said it once!

That steal at the end was a great play.

Same.

I believe it's pronounced: Zuh-mumblebmumble-Nee

Zavgorodniy NHLe = 15.23
Pospisil NHLe = 16.72
Lomberg NHLe = 18.85

Lomberg is 5 years older than Pospisil and 6 years older than Zavgorodniy. Can Lomberg actually be called a prospect anymore? He is a career AHLer in my opinion. I don't think there is potential for anything more.

Pospisil is essentially 9 months older than Zavgorodniy and Pospisil has an NHLe just barely higher than Zavgorodniy. This one is an absolute toss-up for me, but I'll go Zavgorodniy because I don't like all the penalties Pospisil takes.

I think we're at the point here where you can look at the rest of the list and wonder if there will be 20 NHL games played among them. Combined.

Toss up between Pospisil and Koumontzis (can't we have any easy names to spell around here?)

I like Pospisil's size and tenacity, and his offensive production is decent for the USHL (37 points in 49 games)

However, I really think Koumontzis is the more interesting prospect. 5'10" and only about 180 pounds, but he destroyed the high school level competition scoring 90 points in 45 games at a local school and then on the Northeastern team. The last player to come out of Pittsburgh with a similar build and production was Vincent Trocheck (of course, Trocheck played in the OHL and not the US highschool level, but still...ok, it's a stretch I admit).

I dunno, something about the kid makes me think he has some real potential. We'll see how he does at the college level this year.

I’m at the point where I’m logging into the thread to read other people’s thoughts and not voting. Good luck to remaining prospects!

Kind of surprised Pospisil went this late. I missed a couple rounds and just assumed he was already gone.

It's criminal how undervalued Nick Schneider is on CP. If you don't think he's the 20th best prospect in Calgary's system, you need to reevaluate your criteria.

You are talking about the guy that struggled big time in the WHL the last two seasons? The Flames would release him of his contract if they could. If the guy becomes more than an ECHL player I would be surprised.
