Gillies for me here, he has starter's upside. Love his combination of size and athleticism.
Can't seem to vote yet though

I don't think Foo should be in the conversation of Gillies, Fox or Dube just yet. He had an alright freshman and sophomore season, but it wasn't until last year when him and his linemates really started to dominate. Some of the other prospects on the board have shown much more at the 18-21 yr old level than Foo did

Gillies. Highest upside (#1 G), with a reasonable shot of getting there.

Don't understand this. Sure he's had issues these past two years, but even if you just pretend they didn't happen he's still missed two years of development. Anything the Flames get out of Poirier will be a bonus. Glad he's confronted his issues and hope it works out, but way too high for him on the prospect list right now.

Yeah, but lots of those prospects won't be doing what he's doing now at his age. He has a legitimate shot to make the big club this year. Judge him based on what he is now, not by what he was doing three years ago.
Some kids are late bloomers and some kids peak in junior.

I think that if he can put it all together, he has first-line upside for sure. I was really encouraged by what I saw at Development Camp.

Yeah, definitely. He had two terrible seasons in the AHL. It's great that he got help for his issues, but he needs to prove himself on the ice before he gets in the top ten.

Tough spot to pick here.
Rittich looked really good as a rookie in the AHL
Gillies still has starter upside IMO
Dube has looked solid since being drafted
Fox had a historic offensive season in NCAA
Mangiapane had 20 goals as an AHL rookie, which seems to go unheralded by many
Foo looks like a solid addition after a strong NCAA season
Poirier and Shinkaruk have both fallen pretty hard in my eyes and are on their last legs as prospects, Klimchuk took a big step last season but needs to have a strong follow up to rise much in my rankings.
I will go with Fox here, but any of Gillies, Rittich, Mangiapane, Foo or Dube are fair choices in this spot

Adam Fox, hard to overlook his outstanding season, I'm happy he's proved the scouts who were extra high on him last year right so far.

I went with Mangiapane because he has been progressing nicely ever since he has been drafted. Great rookie year in the AHL. If he keeps trending up he should be in the NHL in a couple of seasons. Fox was close. Same with Gillies, but his sub-par season hurt him. I think Foo has potential to be an NHLer but is a bit overrated.

I voted Fox for the upside. There are arguments to be made for several guys on the list but I think in a year or two we might be voting him in the top 3 of this poll.

Alright, but if Fox, Dube and Gillies continue on their current projection, they could not only have a legitimate shot at making the Flames at 23 years old, but could be impact players by then.
So it works both ways.

Of course and I agree with you. I just don't think you can say Foo isn't in the conversion because he wasn't a great prospect at 19 or 20 years old. Every player has a different development timeline is all I'm saying.

went with Fox based simply on recency bias. Guy had an amazing year, Gillies got his first year of pro hockey under his belt with a little less hype.
It was a tough choice.

1st line is extremely optimistic. Not sure that was his upside when we drafted him. And as you say he still needs to put it all together. Is he looking more promising now than last year? Of course. But he's still a much bigger question mark than a lot of the guys available and I don't think his upside is bigger than Gillies or Fox. I think he needs more than just a promising development camp to justify a #6 spot on our list.

Skeptical of goalies and really skeptical of Gillies being this high. Went with Fox. Dube and Foo are ahead of Gillies too.
