It's baaaaaaaaaaaaaack. almost like Shark Week on the Discovery Channel Calgarypuck and the Summer Prospect Ranking has become an institution for rabid Calgary hockey fans.
2013 - Sean Monahan is the top prospect (2013)
2014 - Johnny Gaudreau takes his turn (2014)
2015 - Sam Bennett come on down! (2015)
The last three years have had a prospect named first, and then make an impact right away on the NHL team. Bennett had to have surgery and mop up the OHL first, but all three were big players for the Flames right away.
Will that be the case again this year?
As per usual the vote is up to you. Some see it as most likely to play, some see it as highest ceiling, others see it as a mix of both.
When you get out of draft pedigree it goes to arch; who's making the biggest move, and the kid went from somewhere to pretty solid play in the AHL late last season. Interested to see how he fares in camp against Gillies, McDonald and Parsons

Voted for Schneider. Went undrafted but impressed enough in camp to earn a NHL contract. Showed poise as an 18 year old goalie getting games in the AHL. Could be a real find but he's this low because he doesn't have the pedigree that some others do.
I don't see the love for Mattson despite his size and supposed skill. He didn't produce in his two stints with a USHL team and went back to high school.
It was hard, but I finally feel like I can vote for a goalie. Schneider probably has just as good or a better shot at eventual NHL games than McDonald, so I went with him.
