Default Summer 2015 Prospect Ranking - Round 30

it's time.

Calgarypuck's 3rd annual Prospect Ranking Poll!

Going with the 25 and under with 65 or less games played at the NHL level which actually works pretty closely with my own rule of thumb of "anyone not too old that hasn't been penciled in".

Therefore Granlund, Ortio and Ferland are still prospects.

Monahan and Gaudreau are young but clearly established and no longer prospects. Bennett may be penciled in but he's only played 12 NHL games and is a prospect.

Going to have to go with the youngest guy, Bruce. I see everyone else on that list as a non-prospect (along with a few guys that have been chosen already).

Van Brabant. He's at least played in a handful of NHL games and didn't look terribly out of place. That's enough for my vote on this very thin list.

Last round of voting for me this summer. The rest I think will fade into obscurity after this year and we won't even consider them prospects (maybe Bruce for a little while longer).

Just for suggestion to kill some time, after Prospect Ranking can we have a poll who will/should be in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th line and 1st, 2nd 3rd pairing? We may have an interesting talk about each line because I have a few combination in every line but want to hear other people's opinion too.

I'm going Wolf. He's at least played in the NHL and we still have his rights. Of the remaining, IMO, it's probably more likely that he comes back next year than any of the remaining actually making it.

1- van Brabant- had a bad year but had a decent college career and got a look in the NHL. If he bounces back he will be back in progress. It will be hard to make it with the flames forward depth.
2- deblouw- started his college career of really well but then cooled off. But he looked really good in the development camp this year and this year is so important for him.
3- wolf- he has NHL potential even though he's heading back to Germany. May come back 2 years from now and push for a spot or head to another organisation, however he may stick in Germany.
5- Harrison- disappointing college career, I'm hoping he can have a good year this year and move it on to the year after before his college career is done but I don't think he has any NHL potential.
6- grant- he will never make the NHL but he will always be a solid ahler who could pursue a career in Europe.
7- Bruce- still young but wasn't happy about the pick. Still a long ways to go but I don't see potential there.
8- billins- hard to know as he's played in Europe for the last 2 years, he could potentially come back and compete but I still don't like his chances of ever making it to the NHL.
