It's so much worse than Kuzmenko, who doesn't really have that extra gear. You know Kadri can be a difference maker when he wants to be, but it looks like he's already transitioned to the country club life. It's a shame. His legacy as a hard working player is going to be tarnished by this.
It’s right in line with his current legacy. A player who seems to get frustrated easily, and when he does it’s as if he flicks a switch and he no longer plays how he self describes: He turns lazy and selfish.

And I’m a fan of the player. Watched him a lot in Toronto. He’s always been like this. It’s like I keep waiting for him to grow out of it.

The annoying thing about the penalty was that the Flames were off to a good start energy-wise.

Some pretty wild swings in emotions here regarding a team that is supposed to lose losing a game on Black Friday in year 1 of a long term rebuild. Apparently this organization can't even lose the right way. Scathing analysis from some people who definitely seem patient enough to endure a rebuild.

So, a team takes a penalty 10 minutes into the game after some good "energy" and then mails in it.

How unfair. Maybe the key to winning is giving more than 10 minutes of good energy?

I must say though, I miss having a guy like McGratton for a rebuilding team like this. At least when the games get scrappy you can throw a gorilla out there to pound on the other team's tough guys and be a detterent. Kudos to Pospisil and Lomberg tonight, but with Pospisil's concussion history it might be worth it/fun to insert a heavyweight for the rematch in a couple days.

Who was that free agent D-man we signed who's like 6'6? If he's still in the A can he fight?
I miss McGrattan, period.

Still plenty of reasons to be tuned in, with guys like Zary and Coronato budding and Wolf showing the potential to be elite any night.

Also still well above 500 and in a divisional playoff spot. Wouldn't get too bent out of shape yet about season-wide implications over an 0-2-1 stretch where at least one loss came on the backs of a superhuman screw-job by the refs.

You're welcome to tap out though.
No. I'm good. Perhaps you didnt read what I wrote

I don’t know what you are arguing about. I never said it was an excuse. What it did do, though, was to halt the momentum, and give the BJs a lead.

They are falling into a pattern:

- good start. Lots of chances. Zero goals.
- take a penalty. Lose all momentum. Get behind by one or two.
- make a push in the third period but too little too late.

The positives:
- they compete hard every game
- they seem to care
- goaltending
- defence has improved a lot
- youngsters are getting better every game
- pp and pk are getting better

Negatives:
- they can’t score goals to save their lives
- the top end of our salary structure provides zero offense

My only change would be with a few notable exceptions they seem to care.
