Absolutely correct

I'm still completely flabbergasted by how useless Huberdeau is offensively.

How does a guy put up 346 points in 286 games from 2019-2022, switch teams and instantly drop in production to 119 points in 183 games played??

I mean... this is supposed to be a bottom 5 team this year, right?

If you can't enjoy a chaotically uneven team with a decent amount of fun randomly through the season, why bother?

I want people who show up and give 110%
Not guys who collect that pay cheque and rinse repeat.

This team is where it’s at because of Wolf’s amazing play most nights and the youth stepping up. Combine that with a terrible pacific division and alas the Flames have pretended to look good or at least have fooled most of us.

This team wouldn’t cut it in the playoffs.

Open for business.
Let's be honest, this team does not have the talent to go far into the playoffs. And frankly, it is extremely surprising they are even in a spot.

I think the really hot start, and elite level goaltending has inflated people's perception of this team. We are not close to being a contender.

I'd be fine benching vets who are checked out, but it seems to be all the high paid ones who are the worst culprits.

The best thing for this team would have been to tank for a few years and have a chance at some elite level talent. But it seems that won't happen either.

It's just odd to me that much of the fan base has gone from blow it all up we need to tank for a few years... to expecting this team to compete despite trading away a bunch of talent. It makes no sense to me, this is a fun team with some good pieces, but we need to add a lot of pieces to be anywhere near a contender.

Whatever he's doing, even though it's not much whenever he dresses, is putting some sort of voodoo on the team.
besides voodoo, what did Hanley do that was so bad?

At least one of those was a troll bait post.

Conroy just got started and is still moving away from the problems Treliving saddled the team with. You can only laugh at such a notion.

Sure those valid stats.

I was thinking about this the other day. Hanley plays 12 mjns per game avg. Less than bean and barrie. I don't know specifics of utilization but a min or two extra tax other d men and put them in more challenging situations. Not really sure

Win loss is weird

Zary and Coronato are fun to watch. Pospisil came out and stuck up for a couple of teammates when he probably shouldn't have with his concussion history.

It's hard to believe how many years we have left of watching Huberdeau and Kadri out there. It's not going to get any better with those two as the years add on.

Wish we could enjoy Backs as the third line centre again. Not as centre in top 6.

That’s a lot to expect from Backs.

Love him though. All you haters, going to be a long season if we flip out like this regularly.

Of the top 13 teams in the NHL in winning %, Calgary at 13 is the only team with a negative goal differential at -4.

The correlation between goal differential and being a playoff team is huge.

Yes, there is often an exception each year.

But you are playing long odds giving up more goals than you score.

Considering a lot of goals that Calgary has scored has been when teams are playing back and trying to protect a lead we really are in trouble for scoring this year. Wolf and vladar are going to have to play at a top 3 goalie tandem pace for rest of season to make playoffs.

It was a solid loss. We were outplayed for the most part. BJs are a likeable team, especially given the context.

I would play Vladar the next two games...give Wolf a break from playing behind this garbage.

Take the negative 0 points and start the tank engine!!

Meh. As other's have said, this team isn't supposed to win this year.

I must say though, I miss having a guy like McGratton for a rebuilding team like this. At least when the games get scrappy you can throw a gorilla out there to pound on the other team's tough guys and be a detterent. Kudos to Pospisil and Lomberg tonight, but with Pospisil's concussion history it might be worth it/fun to insert a heavyweight for the rematch in a couple days.

Who was that free agent D-man we signed who's like 6'6? If he's still in the A can he fight?

That’s a question for Bob Dylan.

The answer is blowin’ in the wind.
