I would love nothing more than to be completely wrong at the end of all this and that our governments are doing all of this for our best interests and not a control mechanism where the ones that do what they say are rewarded and the ones that question their decisions are punished.

Say the government is doing this for nefarious reasons, and the ones that do what they say are rewards and the ones that question their decisions are punished... let's just pretend that's true... for a minute.
If that is true:
- Why are you worried about the vaccine? If listening and getting the vaccine gets rewarded, what would be the reward? And if the vaccines is as dangerous as you believe it to be... how is killing people a reward?
- What is the motivation for governments to do this, outside of health?
- How is this being coordinated between every single government in the entire world, and why?
Referencing the Bill Burr segment here, but why would governments all over the world provide a vaccine intended to harm or control people who are already willing to follow directions from the government, while sparing the people who are not willing to follow directions from the government? Wouldn't it be in the government's best interest to do the exact opposite, if this was for control?
And, to play conspiracy theorist, isn't it just as possible that the government has planted distrust around vaccines and disbelief in COVID within anti-government circles in order cull that population? Isn't it possible you're the ones being manipulated in order to reduce your population?

I hope more and more businesses, venues, and countries enforce vaccination mandates. That way I can enjoy watching these proud and noble warriors slowly entomb themselves brick by brick in order to protect their freedoms while voluntarily surrendering their rights to participate in society.

The vaccine doesn't prevent infection or spread though. Currently it appears that the vaccine is highly effective at preventing serious outcomes but infection and spread in vaccinated people is still possible. Peak viral load in infected people seems to be the same regardless of whether someone is vaccinated or not but vaccinated people are infectious/spreading for a shorter period of time.
Still possible but extremely reduced.
Does that not matter to you? Are you looking for 100% elimation of spread or no bother reducing spread at all?
What if it's a 99% reduction, 90%, 80%?
What's the magic number where it would be worthwhile to get the vaccine and reduce infections across society?
Honest question as I can't understand this position.
This is the same logic people used to roll out to poorly argue against seat belts. They heard of this person who was in a car accident, and the doctor said the seatbelt made their injuries worse, so they twist that little turd nugget of a fact into seatbelts being unsafe.
People are horrible judges of personal risk. Anyone who is afraid of the risk posed by this vaccine should not leave their house, ever. They shouldn't even eat solid food - that's how you choke.

Ignoring how blatantly ignorant your comments have been, I'm personally not worried about getting Covid. I'm sure it'll suck if I get a breakthrough case, but pretty sure I'll be fine.
My kids can't get the jab yet - I'm a bit worried about them getting long covid, but overall, they'll probably be fine. We can be cautious with them and work to avoid exposures, and we'll struggle with those decisions. Kind of unfair that the unvaccinated are causing us to think that way these days though.
But hospitalizations and ICU admissions are rising, and it's because of the unvaccinated. Several members of my family had to have important surgeries and treatments and other medical attention delayed because of the previous covid waves. I don't want that happening to them again. I don't want it to happen to anyone again.
But if the spread keeps happening and hospital beds are filled with the unvaccinated, that's where a lot of the rage comes in. People who are doing the right things are paying for your selfishness and irresponsibility. It's all the unvaccinated's fault.
It's your turn to stay home.

“Building immune systems” is sketchy as hell. There’s not much that’s proven to do so. And it takes time anyway. And treatments are after the fact - prevention is better. Treatment has a lower success rate than vax anyway.
