You’re entitled to that opinion. I and most Canadians feel otherwise. I don’t take sports as seriously as most here.
You cheer for a team that welcomes a wife beater and a guy released from his contract for inappropriate conduct towards female club employee all run by a guy who covered up a sexual assault in Chicago
Sorry I love Canada but there are some real pieces of #### up there

Cheered for all of the Canadian teams — Edmonton, Winnipeg and even Toronto. I’m disappointed the drought continues. I’ll cheer for any Canadian teams that have a shot.
Fair enough, but at the same time

Don't forget, their former CEO, and still current employee Bob Nicholson, was the guy in charge of Hockey Canada when they set up their Sexual Assault Hush Money fund.

That's a pretty bold statement considering there's no accurate poll asking every single Canadian hockey fan if they care if an American team wins the Cup.
Not being a homer but honestly the last time it felt like Canada was behind a team and it was authentic it was 2004. I think it had a lot to do with the coach and a class act like Iggy who put on a performance. The red mile just grew authentically. Everything since has felt forced.
Plus who tf cheers for the ####hole of Canada.

I think Connor re-signs too. He is very aware of his legacy and if he leaves Edmonton without winning a cup, it will be a huge dent in that legacy.
I wouldn't be surprised if the tells management he wants to wait and see how at least the start of next season goes. The Oilers made the playoffs by 5 points this year. Most other teams behind them are getting better. The Oilers are getting older.
Evander Kane has no class. Didn't even come out to shake hands when the game was over.
I especially enjoy this considering the muted reactions I got when I explained to all the casuals why he was just another reason I couldnt hope for good things for that team. That team is dirtbag central.

Today is a great day.
I'm concerned for people that can watch Kane and not detect any issues. Moreso if they know anything about the circumstances of his signing in Edmonton.
