That would be amazing and would make the news. People are asking for European style fandom… that would be some serious rivalry hatred on display.

It's probably from these posts:

Given what we know about Gaudreau it would fit that he is the submissive one in his relationship and she is the decision maker and the boss. Guy probably just wants to keep her and her family happy and play hockey first, winning and legacy can take a back seat. Again, not saying he is wrong to do that although someday down the road when his career is over and he is just another skilled player who didn't really accomplish much he might regret not sticking to his guns.

And, you were not right. You admitted you were wrong when you said Frank Seravalli was your source and he got it wrong.

You want receipts? Here. Here's you dragging Meredith as the reason Johnny left, painting her as the person who convinced him not to sign in Calgary.
Enjoy
Example 1
Example 2
Example 3
Example 4
Example 5
You didn’t “just say she had a part in the decision.” You blamed her for everything. You called Johnny submissive, said she made all the choices, implied Guy didn’t approve of her, and essentially accused her of ruining his career. Going through these posts it’s actually worse than I remember.
You spread these lies even after they both came out and said they wanted to be closer to family after Guy's heart attack, COVID restrictions at the border, and starting a family, something Meredith repeated it at his funeral.
My advice is don’t gaslight people. You said what you said and anyone with a search function can find it. And yeah, I think people should be pretty skeptical of your "sources" for McDavid.

Pulling the goalie when they did - at the 7 min mark - was quite a dumb move by Knob that reeked of desperation too.
You're an offensive team, you need to try and push a bit more, draw a penalty or just try and get a bounce for a little longer before you empty the net and push all the chips in.
I don't think it made a big difference in the grand scheme of things as the game was never in doubt, but I think it showcases how 1 dimensional that Oilers team really is from a coaching staff right down to the players.

To be fair he said he’d have signed by now in his opinion. Everything about draisaitl was opinion based whereas the McDavid stuff seems very certain from whoever his source is. Not taking sides, it really doesn’t matter until it actually happens (or doesn’t).

News Flash : Oilers are the first team in nearly 40 years to lose in the Stanley Cup Finals back to back. Last to do it were the Boston Bruins in 1977.

Meredith mentioned Calgary a bunch in her letter to John. She also said she was happy to stay in Calgary and let Johnny decide what he wanted to do. Family was the reason. I see no reason why she would be lying. So that confirms she didn’t convince him to leave.

I could kinda see the logic of pulling the goalie at the 7 minute mark if the Oilers had been carrying the play for extended periods of time in the third period, but they hadn’t and it, as people say, seems like a desperation at that point in time.

I hope he stays, there is a risk that they may accidentally get better with who they may receive by trading him.

After the Oilers conduct in game 3, this victory has to be extra sweet for the Panthers.

This is the happiest thread of the year, McDavid and the Oilers lose the SCF again, in even worse fashion. The only happier day for a Flames fan is the Flames hoisting the Cup themselves.
Instead it gets filled with a few dip****s ruining it by talking about Meredith and Johnny Gaudreau from 4 ****ing years ago, because they have an axe to grind with a poster that made an adamant prediction about McDavid.

Draisatl had the far side winger covered. Wellman was moving to the puck carrier that McDavid went towards. McDavid was the high man and should have been looking over his shoulder. Trying to do something and doing the wrong thing is perfect Oilers. If he ever played any D he would have been watching for the late man.

If McDingleberry wants to win a Cup, then staying in Edmonton would be incredibly dumb. Dude can go anywhere he wants at this point and get paid a s*** ton of money no matter where he ends up. If he actually cares about winning a championship he’ll do what needs to be done and sign with a legit contender. If it’s just about money and individual trophies, then sure, stay in Dumpsterville.
Either way, Edmonton will still be no good.

I used to feel exactly like this - the 'window' to win a cup with McDavid and Draisaitl will close with their new respective contracts kicking in, and carrying them into the 'post-apex' period of their careers. Oilers as an organization have not been competent at drafting and developing players, and have long suffered from being poorly managed.
With the rising cap, and having two consecutive Finals appearances, it has pushed me over to the fence. Trading him for assets might dumb-luck the Oilers into more success (unless they are draft picks - then no chance!).
The very best outcome in my opinion is the Oilers riding McDavid into the sunset next season, and allowing him to walk for free. I am just no longer sure what the second-best option is. If the cap would remain relatively flat (or just modest growth), I would 100% have the same opinion as yours.

Oilers and Leafs have a lot of potential to make a blockbuster team where neither team is improved.

Eklund just put up a blog stating mcdavid to LA (E3).
lol, how awesome that would be. Please make it happen! As long as he’s not in Edmonton and Vancouver, I’d be delighted.
