Why would they trade him? They are second in their division and 10th in the league.

Well, we know Huberdeau will end up with more, as we've been told many times he's a 60-70 point player.

Billy G might have taken a few headshots but I suspect he is hoping for something better than that. Not sure a 35-40 point player is what he is looking for. If that is what it takes the Flames should offer Frost.

I really don’t understand why Minnesota is looking to move Wallstedt, that one is a head scratcher.

Their window is basically this year + next, with the *hopes* of convincing Hughes to extend, in which case they really have no choice but to go all out in either scenario, and with Gustavsson being more than capable to carry the load as a 1A and still well on the good side of 30, it makes a ton of sense to capitalize of Wallstedt's value to fill a big hole elsewhere.

On the topic of Minnesota, would they move Brodin? He tends to be very injury prone.
Brodin + 2027 1st + Heidt for Kadri + Hanley?
We can flip Brodin to a different team or let him roll with us for a year or so before flipping him. He would likely be our best LD, even before Bahl. Could also see us flipping him to a team like Pittsburgh that desperately needs an LD. He won't be back until early March. Heidt is a bit of a project, but he can develop with the Wranglers. Maybe a conditional 2nd/3rd depending on how far they go this season or next with Kadri.
Some may say I am asking too much, but Minnesota is DESPERATE for another top 6 center. This would ease a lot of pressure off of Eriksson-Ek.

I think Minnie thought Yurov might make Rossie expendable. But they've moved him off of the first line (he was playing with Kaprisov). They do have some prospects. They don't have a first or second this year though and only a first for 2027.

The idea is insane to me.
But, my dark horse landing spot, if this happens, is Montreal.

That would make a ton of sense. Montreal is going to be a scary team in a year or two.

I can’t see that with them having Fowler long term

Do they have him now? Cause, Wallstedt is ready now.
The idea of moving him at all is nuts to me anyway. But yeah, there are few other goalies I wouldn’t abandon at the chance here. I figure a goalie would have to be part of the package for it to make sense.

Trade Kadri for Wallstedt then trade Wallstedt for Hage
(Although with what's going on in Minnesota no chance Kadri is waiving to go there)

For cheap, sure. Otherwise nah, he hasn't really progressed much at all the last few years. He's basically a bottom 6 player at the moment.

With a minor retention, its not the craziest idea...
Lets say Kadri at 6 per for the next 3 years.
Nelson extended for 7.5 for 2 more after this year
Nelson is 1 year younger
