The Jays need to get to Yamamoto in the first 4 innings and put this away in Game 6.

I mean even if you lose game 6 you can’t let him go complete game. You have to work that bullpen.

I've been a Jays fan since 1987 and I can honestly tell you that I've never enjoyed watching a team as much as I have this team.

They're so likable and you can see how they play for each other. The Jays teams back in 92-93 were fantastic, don't get me wrong, but they were also the highest salary teams those two years.

This team is such a good story and win or lose will be my favorite team I've watched in over 30 years.

Dodger fans are definitely loyal and they do turn out in numbers- but they are also generally super chill and good folks to be around. lots of mostly nice banter with the folks around us (although the guy beside me was a curmudgeon), and I think the Jays fans felt pretty comfortable there , good numbers to be sure (my flights there and back had quite a few doing the same thing I was). it was a little tricky in the sea of blue at times to figure out who was who

Plus Davis Schneider is awesome. He should play more, and the reason is he makes big hits in big spots.

Yeah, that surprised me as well. Polymarket has the Jays at 68% favourites now, which seems a bit low to me but is maybe the Yamamoto effect.

Personally, my favourite part of the last few games has been the inning where Dave Roberts leaves his tired starter in for just one more, then he gets in a jam and gets pulled anyway, leaving the bullpen in a tough spot where the promptly #### the bed and the Jays get multiple runs.

I'm hoping Roberts remembers that happening to and Yamamoto gets an early hook. Or not, and he gets in a jam and we do it again would be fine as well

Starting pitchers are more valuable (and make more money) since they pitch for more innings in a season. Even legendary closers like Mariano Rivera only pitched about 70 innings a season, while a great starting pitcher would be around 200.

I really think the starter/reliever model is broken. I think a lefty opener could pitch 2 innings every second game (which is a starter-like 162 innings per year) and add huge value. Never more than once through the order, pitch at max effort, and make lineup construction harder for your opponents.

Agreed. Or a different perspective. I have never been a Jays fans. I have always disliked them. So as long as you have been a fan, I have been an anti fan. I guess because I was always an Exoos fan, I don't know.

Anyway, I love this team. It's impossible not to love them. I am more engaged in these playoffs than I ever have been. And as much as I dislike Toronto in general, I so hope they get this done Friday. Go Jays
