Enoch, your data is fine, but as Scornfire already pointed out it can't really assess what I am talking about.

I didn't even say there was a specific person at fault. It could be an organizational culture thing, it could be doctors that are at fault, it could be that they listen too much to players, whatever.
Before we focus on assigning blame, can you actually prove it's an issue at all? You seem to have jumped ahead a step or two.

Exactly. Fault for what?

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

You don't seem to understand Monahammer's point.

Of course it's the Flames' fault. What ‘it’ is will be determined from day to day, but there must always be an ‘it’, and ‘it’ must always be the Flames' fault.

Didn't anybody ever teach you to reason backwards from the conclusion you want and make up whatever facts will support it?

Rookie of the year at 18, Norris Trophy at 19 then for the next 8 years, Art Ross/Conn Smythe/Hart in year 3 as a 20 year old. I think Bobby was a star from the minute he arrived.

Yup, he was third in scoring on his own team (and had very little support on that crap team). 41 points in 61 games. That was more than any other Dman in the league except for two guys on the powerhouse Hawks, and those guys lived off off Hull, Mikita, Hull and Esposito. Bit of a dead puck era too, only Hull, Mikita and Norm Ullman were over PPG.

And as I pointed out, you haven't actually pointed out anything yet. You haven't made any actual claim, and beyond that, you haven't presented any evidence that would back up any claim - just another vague, "the Flames are the worst, man" statement.

I think what you meant to say was it took Orr 3 years to become the greatest player in NHL history.
