seems to be a lot of bias towards shiny new toys vs proven ahl talent. time will tell

The trouble with proven AHL talent is, by the time you get proven at the AHL level, you're waiver-eligible and on the verge of not being a prospect anymore.

If he's a hard nosed defender that can shut down elite opposition his point total won't matter.

Now will he be? Not so sure but then he hasn't gone in the top 19 prospects so clearly he has some work to do.

I feel like King could be a big riser next year...feel like he's going to have a great season this year.
