I’m glad they are bringing in guys who have had success at this level. I seem to recall Sellouf was pretty streaky but another guy in attack is a good thing. Should be no guaranteed starters for the next little while. Someone can really earn a spot

Another bad loss. The way the York goalkeeper was playing, we could have played all night and not scored.

That was a frustrating game.

Thought Cavalry were the dominant side but one massive brain fart and a great double save from Urtiaga and it's an L. York lined up 9 men behind the ball all second half and played the dark arts well, don't think that will get them anywhere in the playoffs but it will get them in the playoffs I guess.

The positives; I thought Ntignee and Sellouf injected some real life into the attack. Loved how direct both of them were at a time when the attack can be too cute and timid. And the performance was far better than we've seen the last month.

The negatives; Musse and Gutierrez were both dreadful. Attack after attack died on Musse's boots and Gutierrez decided to lie on the ground instead of defend on the goal against. Gutierrez spent a lot of time yelling at the ref too instead of playing. Also some of the vets are completely half assing it. At one point Warschewski was just lying on the ground dejected after a missed chance while the ball was still in play, we were yelling at him to get up.

Was a good and rowdy crowd that would have exploded if one of the double saves had been a goal. Also not sure what happened at the end but there were handbags. York were starting to run their mouths at the end so I'm guessing that continued.

One of the problems of the season (and arguably the largest) has been Musse disappearing and putting in 4/10 performances every week. He needs to make things happen and open up space for the other attackers, and that has not been happening. Hopefully Ntignee or Sellouf can claim that spot if given the chance

The other problem for me has been the midfield. Gutierrez was hurt and then Baldisimo got hurt which has forced Shome into being a little more conservative with his runs and passing. Piepgrass has been solid but isn't as dynamic as those other guys with his passing or positioning, which is totally fine, but now Shome has also been dropping a little deeper. Need more creativity there.

In non-CPL news, Thomas Muller rumoured to be signing with the Whitecaps.

Yeah, pretty uninspiring from some of the top players over the past couple months.

I felt like the Championship last season, beating Pumas in CONCACAF, and a favorable Cup draw, we were getting set for the best season ever.

Musse has lost his confidence or motivation.

According to the CPL discipline page Musse has been suspended for the next 3 games, but no one else.

Not really a loss right now with the way he's playing.

I think this could be a good thing. The guy needs some time to reflect/a kick in the ass, and Tommy didn't seem keen on delivering it.

Yeah I think this could be a blessing in disguise. For whatever reason he’s been an auto starter. Sellouf/Ntignee the time is yours to claim spot. And I might be the only person saying it, but I wouldn’t hate Wahling there either. I think he’s much better on the right wing than left but hardly gets a chance to play there
