IMO part of it is that he's kind of levelling off from his career season in 22-23. He was always pretty quiet in the playoffs for the Flames and not being a great skater probably makes it a little more difficult for him to shine in a series like this.
Tkachuk has never played the Oilers well. He must be hurt but its not like he did anything last finals. At least he is pissing off the Oilers.

Okay one game out of now 3 playoff series but you totally got me.
Like I said at least he is pissing the Oilers off...lucky for us the Panthers have more than one or two players that can score though. If any of the Oilers top guys were no shows they would get swept every round.
Man, it shouldn't be - but it blows me away what giant pieces of #### Edmonton is. How you can root for this team, even if your life is so sad that you are an Oilers fan, is beyond me. ####.

He does seem to struggle with the speed of the game against the Oilers, and think with the Flames he would be more focused on the extra curriculars than the game itself against the Oilers.
But for this playoff has a whole he is clearly just playing very hurt, and his already not great food speed is even more noticeable with whatever injury he's fighting.
He's still a good enough player to contribute at least as even an agitator / decoy but I'd be shocked if he's playing anywhere above 70% right now.

The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
I’ll keep saying it but in the next cba the fine needs to be changed to 1 game pay. Make it actually mean something. If a 1 game suspension is a game plus the salary for that game, why is the next tier only 5k? Makes no sense
