The things the Oilers get away with is truly unreal. If the Flames did what they did last night, they would be playing game 4 with half a roster.

I dont even know what to say.

Kane lumberjacked a player in the face while he lying prone on the ice.

Frederic literally snapped his stick over another man's spine.

In what Universe are these defensible actions?

Tkachuk has never played the Oilers well. He must be hurt but its not like he did anything last finals. At least he is pissing off the Oilers.

Like I said at least he is pissing the Oilers off...lucky for us the Panthers have more than one or two players that can score though. If any of the Oilers top guys were no shows they would get swept every round.

Man, it shouldn't be - but it blows me away what giant pieces of #### Edmonton is. How you can root for this team, even if your life is so sad that you are an Oilers fan, is beyond me. ####.

He does seem to struggle with the speed of the game against the Oilers, and think with the Flames he would be more focused on the extra curriculars than the game itself against the Oilers.

But for this playoff has a whole he is clearly just playing very hurt, and his already not great food speed is even more noticeable with whatever injury he's fighting.

He's still a good enough player to contribute at least as even an agitator / decoy but I'd be shocked if he's playing anywhere above 70% right now.

Luckily the Panthers have ridiculous depth of stars to very good players on both sides.

Hopefully it stays that way.

Just saw McDavid saying they haven’t played well so far and the best is coming.

Yeah, but did you see what they did to McDavid's right-of-way? The humanity!

Curious to see what the broken stick over Bennett's ribs gets. If it was McDavid on the receiving end, it would be 2-4 games.

These fines the NHL loves to hand out are ridiculous. $5,000 is nothing for these guys.

I’d just tell the league to auto-deduct $5k per game and then I’d have fun trying to spend it out on the ice.

I know it's symbolic but Kane definitely should have gotten a 5k fine for his stick to the face on Verhaege who's laying on the ice.

I’ll keep saying it but in the next cba the fine needs to be changed to 1 game pay. Make it actually mean something. If a 1 game suspension is a game plus the salary for that game, why is the next tier only 5k? Makes no sense
