I didnt watch the game live so I checked the replay and was looking for this specifically...Draisaitl is the only one skating!

I dont know what it is but someone needs to track how many strides Bouchard takes in his own zone over the course of an entire game. I doubt it'd be double-digits.

The second, and I mean the instant he sees his own blueline he coasts. Neither defender takes so much as a stride inside their own defensive zone while Marchand is bearing down on their net on a breakaway.

Its like....*shrugs* "Well thats that then."

If I were Skinner I'd be smashing my defencemen with my blocker..."What the F### are you clowns DOING??"

Hilarious that the play of Ekholm nudging Bennett while Skinner pushed out with his skate causing Bennett to fall backwards is still being construed by coiler fans as Bennett trying to injure the goalie.

Special group.

Hilarious to think anyone would try to injure Skinner. The backup saved their season and would likely still be playing if not for injury.

Skinner tried to injure himself sweeping Bennett skate out.

I was actually surprised that Pissy skated as hard as he did on the winning goal, nobody on his team seemed to care enough to back check. Was McDiver on the ice?

Hey...I'm as shocked as anyone! When Draisaitl is your hardest backchecker after your two Dmen just got walked by a Senior Citizen?

He may as well have held the door for him!

The longer the series goes, the better for the Panthers. They grind teams down.

Feel bad for the Oilers players and fans. Whole league is against them.

I forgot the website, but the winner of game 2 usually wins the series.

TNT (and ABC/ESPN) has quite a few more cameras than SN which makes for a much more interesting broadcast. I like the behind the net cams for power plays.

I was thinking during COVID with the empty arenas that SN could have experimented with new and unique camera angles and even drones flying above the seats that would provided some really neat views.

For the lead Canadian broadcaster of our Canadian game they really are ####ty in all respects.

No other broadcaster does that in other sports.

Does CBS fawn over Patrick Mahomes?

I was tempted to start a dedicated thread for this earlier in the season. I can't believe how pervasive this phrase has become in hockey and it makes me puke a little on every use.

One thing I noticed about Florida is that they seem to like shorter shifts. I wonder if that is why they have been better in the 2nd periods in Edmonton when they don't have the long line changes. If that is the case, taking the series back home should help.

McDavid didn't coin the term "dig in". It was originally made fun of for how cliche and uninspiring it was, not because it was some new term he came up with.

The broadcast saying a player is "digging in" is very unlikely to be a reference to McDavid at all. It's just a phrase associated with putting in effort in general.
