Its the age that confuses me. He's only 1 year younger than Huberdeau was when we backed the truck up for him.

Realistically, how many years do you have left of those guys, Huberdeau, Rantanen, Kadri? If thats the plan. 4? 5? at the most. Are you going to shore up the defense in the mean time? Is Parekh going to be ready to be elite? Is Zary and Coronato going to be ready?

At this point in my fandom, I'm just along for the ride. I'm not losing sleep over what they should or shouldn't be doing. I just want fireworks, give me excitment, one way or another.

The age thing is kind of nerve racking but I think it's fine to have one or two older elite guys on your team as long as they're useful. You just can't have too many of them at once.
Once Ratanen is starting to be on the back half of that contract players like Kadri, Coleman and Backlund will be gone. Huberdeau and Weegar will be almost done.


Stars have Benn and Seguin
Panthers have Bob
Lightning have Hedman and McDonagh
Vegas has Pietrangelo
LAK have Doughty and Kopitar
Caps have Ovi and Carlson.


I think Ratanen is the caliber of player that you feel comfortable with going longterm, assuming he can be useful throughout the entirety of it.

Can anyone speak to how Cozens is utilized in Buffalo? Is it a case similar to Bennett here where he’s not put in positions to succeed or he plays with lesser players? My understanding is that is not the case. That he’s been deployed as the 2nd line centre. Gets 2nd powerplay unit time and plays with some of their more skilled players. He might not have the same excuses/reasons for his struggles that Bennett did in Calgary. Could be wrong though.

I let the site know when the Flames started inquiring about Frost in the summer. Conroy confirmed they had been been after the player for a while. Nobody in their right mind would come on here pulling stuff out of their head and posting it here as legit stuff.

Trying to decipher the gifs is fun, especially when the hints they provide actually come true on occasion. Like the Frost hints this season, and the Dark Knight ones last year before Hanifin got dealt to Vegas. I keep waiting and hoping for the Whitehorse hint to come true....c'mon Cozens

Not even close to Bennett. He gets almost 18 minutes of ice a night.

Bennett was utilized as a 4th line energy winger.

Guy likes mountains obviously...factor some are ignoring is the closer we get to a new arena the less the dump saddledome is a factor on these long term deals. Playing in a brand new facility is a draw.

Ryan McLeod also came in and took some of his opportunities I would assume based on the fact that McLeod has a higher PPG this year than Cozens. I wonder what McLeod would cost, he is only 25.
