Can Rantanen be traded back to eh Avs? I read somewhere that he can't be dealt back to them, yet Kypreos said yesterday that he can. Kypreos said that since Rant was dealt to the Blackhawks THEN the Hurriances that he can be sent back to Colorado. Is he right?

No just because players are good teams don't make their underlying metrics better. Cozens teammates arent under the water like him.

I think almost all would.

Zary in his short career is 52.8% and +2 xGF. That is on one of the lowest event offensively challenged teams in the league.

Cozen is 50% and -20 xGF.

Not only can he not drive play he stinks defensively.

I honestly can't understand the comments questioning or looking down on what could be some inside information.

Putting aside accuracy or how "inside" the info is, these conversations sure as hell are more entertaining and enjoyable than pages of back and forth drivel regarding petty grievances and nastiness that pervades every thread. I tend to think that they have their connections, but even if it was all top-level trolling, I would much prefer this type of trolling to the other sort that is clearly all about sowing discord.

If it's a dislike about memes and gifs, is it the manner of delivery or that you don't believe any of it because it's not spelled out clear as day for you? You can't have both. Either you feel you are owed more information and dislike guessing around gifs, or you think Sec has no inside info at all. To those points, no, you are not owed anything more than what someone has heard/feels is ok to leak, and if you think they're trolling, then ignore it for goodness sake.

So, in the end, what is it? What makes it so that some feel they have to wade in unwanted and tell the world their displeasure? Sure, it's free speech and whatnot, but some comments are clearly meant to be denigrating and questions someone else's character, integrity and overall isn't nice (honestly, I feel like I'm lecturing my children). So please, if you don't enjoy the info, the memes, whatever, keep it to yourself. If you honestly just can't, at least make it a reasonable comment discussing your grievances with accuracy or delivery, or something, and not just about putting others down.

I suspect this may fall on deaf ears or blind eyes, and perhaps I'll catch flak for being a homer of sorts, but it's just so much, and so pervasive, and honestly extends beyond just how people post about the insiders but overall to each other at times.

I love this site, but man, some days and some comments can really make it hard.

To our insiderrrrs, you keep doing you man, I (we) certainly appreciate the info and conversation!

I seem to recall that there is a provision that prevents a team from having someone else retain on the contract and then return it. Came up when we bought out stone and resigned him for cheaper.

Now that you mention it I do remember reading an article that said what you stated. I wonder if this will change the landscape of trading for soon to be ufa in hopes he signs an extension? Could be if you want top dollar on return it better come with a signed extension.

I second that! Keep it coming insiders. CP is way more interesting with you here and engaged.

The GIFs are fun on many levels especially with all the attempts to decipher amongst CP posters.

Hopefully Conny comes through with something by tomorrow. Regardless of the standings this is the best leverage moment to sell in the hockey calendar year.

I will take a Rooney (Carpenter like) trade for a 5th and/or a Miromanov for a 6th at this point.

What about Bean for a 4th?
