Does the brain worm have its own hearing or are they a package deal?
I think while it's funny to joke about the brain worm thing, we all need to remember that he made it up in court in an attempt to negotiate a better divorce outcome for himself by claiming his earning potential was reduced because brain gone. Fortunately he didn't have to finish it up the court stuff, because all the anguish of the process caused her to kill herself. Miraculously, the supposed deficit caused by the brain worm cleared up after her death.

I didn't know the brain worm thing was made up and assumed that was what caused his disability. So if not the brain worm, what is the cause of his disability? Is he just not aging well, or does he have some kind of medical condition? Trying to listen to him talk is like trying to listen to Ozzy Osborne talk.

Pretty sure they would have made an agreement that RFK would drop out of the presidential race if Trump gave him the position, and RFK would endorse Trump. The only unusual part is that Trump would follow up on a promise.

Simply put, no. Tariffs are levied on imported goods, which totaled $3.1 trillion in 2023. The income tax is levied on incomes, which exceed $20 trillion; the US government raises about $2 trillion in individual and corporate income taxes at present. It is literally impossible for tariffs to fully replace income taxes. Tariff rates would have to be implausibly high on such a small base of imports to replace the income tax, and as tax rates rose, the base itself would shrink as imports fall, making Trump’s $2 trillion goal unattainable.

Worse than a drunken Fox host as Secretary of Defence, the dog shooting lady as Secretary of State? They all seem like drumph is trying to bring the entire government to a screeching halt due to incompetence for some reason
The point of confirmation hearings is to get information like this out so that people know what their senator stands for.
Of the 7 "swing states" that Trump swept, 10/14 of their senators are Democratic including 4 elected last year. A lot of people split their ballots.
The congress has the power, not the cabinet nominee.
And it was pretty clear when Trump asked RFK Jr. to back down during election, precisely to prevent vote splitting problems, that he was going to be gifted a cushy job as a reward.
It looks like all Healthcare workers in all of the agencies under his purview are going to be required to prove their worth via pull-ups after going through security screening.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
The one thing that I think might result in RFK Jr. not getting confirmed is his attack on the food industry (some of the stuff I actually agree with like reducing processed foods). I think that a lot of food lobbyists are going to pressure enough Republicans to axe him based on this.
I don't expect a lot of the appointments to last the full term. Trump loves to fire people.
It wouldn't be shocking at this rate to see him just start consolidating those positions and the authority within in them, to few people or even directly under the president. You know, as dictators tend to do. He'll cite incompetence as the reason and his supporters will back him.
Sure, there are probably laws against it, but when you elect a felon, what good are laws?
