I agree, but IMO the depressing part is that 43 states vote the same way everytime - that's the problem not the 7 swing states.

Okay but like... He has been held legally liable for rape, defrauded a child's cancer charity, is openly racist, and tried to overthrow the government, etc etc etc.

A kernel of corn covered in the feces of a hungover toddler should not get the support he did. This is an indictment on American society as a whole.

What are you talking about? Obama won by 7 and 4 points in his elections. Trump is expected to win by about 1 point.

I imagine that not only the autopsy, but there will be tonnes of books written in the aftermath with a Democratic insider perspective, and lots of interviews that will not be kind to Harris, Walz, Pelosi and even Obama.

I'm really interested in the behind the scene machinations of this.

It sounds like people are leaving Harris' headquarters.

It's too bad the Democrats didn't learn a single ####ing thing from 2016, if Shapiro or Walz is at the top of the ticket it would have likely been a blue wave
Another way of looking at it would be the economy, inflation, immigration and not having Trump mismanage Covid led to a 3pt under performance relative to Biden.

I did not see this coming. Maybe part of that is living in Seattle for most of the year, but damn people in Arizona do not like Kamala.

It took them a long time to figure out the math. Leading by 118,000 votes with only 100,000 outstanding votes, could’ve called it then.

I keep seeing people trashing the Dems for their campaign, for Harris’ lack of policy initiatives, for not distancing herself from Biden on Israel.

Those are a drop in the bucket to the real mistakes.

The Dems lost because a) America is filled with an uneducated electorate who are b) easily swayed by propaganda and fear and c) they nominated a black/brown woman, which is very problematic due in large part because of a) and b).

Trump tapped into fear and hate, which Americans have in spades. Americans got grifted by a grifter. All this nitpicking about the Harris campaign is grasping at straws.

Trump won because he’s the leader Americans want and most identify with. Since Harris will never be Trump, it didn’t matter how perfect her campaign was. Even for a white man it would have been difficult for the Dems to win. The democratic party’s platform doesn’t align with the electorate in its current form.

I was wondering how long that would take.

It looks like PA is going to go to Trump as well at 80% of the vote and Trump's lead expanding to 3.

Wis is at 82% of the vote with a 4 point lead. If those two fall to Trump this thing is over.

Georgia i get from the measures that were put in.

Honest question, Penn shouldn't be called for a couple hours. Has it been called yet anywhere, or just online?

I am watching my odds go up so I am curious.

Okay...so what is the path forward for the Dems to win over voters? If you can't beat a pile of feces that is not a good look.

My rough math has about 700k votes left in PA.

Harris would need to win ~440k of them or 63% of the remaining votes.

It's done.
