So, if you at all like JRPGs in general, you need to be playing Metaphor. It's a masterpiece. They've taken the Persona formula and placed it in a great fantasy world, built on it, layered in a job system (instead of monster/demon catching), and have a super intriguing story with great characters and fantastic voice-acting.

It wasn't directed at you specifically, more the 'royal' you. But yes, you should play it eventually too. I'd drop the FFVII remake(s) to play it, personally. It's way better (and not embarassed to be an RPG like Final Fantasy is these days)

I'll be playing it for sure, but for now I'm playing through the Fire Emblem series including translated versions of the games that were only released in Japan.

I'm also playing Balatro. It got released on Apple Arcade and I've been playing on iPhone. I don't know what differences it has from PC/console versions, but it's fun to pick up and play for a short time.

Did anyone here play Unicorn Overlord through?

Is it worth buying?

Yeah, the documentary War Game: The Making of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 Is a great watch.

Developing and trying to deliver while your operations are uprooted from Kyiv to Prague due the Russian invasion.

If you are at all interested in the game, game development or the Russian Ukrainian war, have a watch.

I loved it. It's a great tactical strategy game. The battles take place automatically using rules you set up for each character, which might or might not be fun for you. The story is kinda cliche too but I didn't find it boring. It is beautiful and the battles are amazing.

I want to play Metaphor so bad, but I'm trying to clear my backlog first.
I'm nearing the end of Daybreak, then I've got a bit of Reverie to clear off, and next on the list was P3:R.
It's hard being a JRPG fan right now - I don't have enough time to play all of the great games that are coming out!

Great problem to have, don't rush too much gotta enjoy them.

Never bought Factorio but looks like they have a new release. I forgot they refuse to ever have a sale, maybe get it through Humble where they do a discount with their sub thingy.

Talking to myself but praise the emperor! The developer didn’t love the review bombing and negative press their foolish updates made to the game and they rolled it back to the pre patch game and buffed bolters (among other changes but you can read patch notes if you care). Who knew the game is for the players and not the devs? Crazy thought.

Interesting podcast if interested:
(title is a bit over the top)

Factually! with Adam Conover
The Video Game Industry is in Crisis with Jason Schreier

"The video game industry is raking in more money than ever, but it's also in complete crisis. In the past couple of years, we've seen countless development studios shuttered and tens of thousands of workers laid off, all while the cost of making and buying games keeps skyrocketing. How did one of the world's most successful industries end up in such a state of instability? This week, Adam sits down with Jason Schreier, a Bloomberg reporter covering the video game industry and author of Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment, to break it all down. Find Jason's book at factuallypod.com/books"
