Biggest issue is with buttons failing. I've had a friend go through numerous, I've had two different one fails on me.
Once it was the RB stopped registering ~50% of button presses, and the other time the "B" button seemed to walk itself off the plank registering almost no presses.
We're also not savages with controllers. I generally baby all of my equipment, and have so many controllers 'on the go' that it's not a case of wearing out over extended use.
I currently have one (the Halo Infinite edition) that I have had zero issues with...although, just saying that out loud makes me feel like it's death is imminent.

If you like survival/base building games, and/or you grew up as a 90's kid, do yourself a favor and pickup Grounded. The environments are fantastic, combat is great, base building actually works and isn't frustrating, and it feels like a 90's cartoon come to life. Compared to so many other survival games I've tried that range from unpolished to broken janky messes, this is a refreshing change

Thought I'd play the Diablo IV expansion after work today.. Nope, technical issues.
Flashbacks to WoW launches, I don't play multiplayer games much and games at launch even less these days so this feels almost nostalgic!

Disco Elysium is on sale on the Xbox Game Store, picked it up for $15.99. Time to see what I've been missing.

Pathetic
In other news, I found out Ff7 Rebirth is unlikely to come to PC before next summer and immediately broke down and bought a PS5, Remake and Rebirth.

Ah, they're pretty decent games but I wouldn't buy a whole platform for them...

I really enjoyed it but you have to embrace the weirdness and allow yourself to get sucked into the story. It's definitely one of the most unique games I've ever played and a game every hardcore gamer should try.

Good thing I have more money than sense to make me realize this was a great idea and you're a bad person with no joy in their heart. I get to live my dream of playing FF7 on my Switch and FF7 Remake on my not switch!
In truth. My XboxOne is not long for this world and I willl need a new streaming platform so I'd been on this fence for a few months. These two games were a pretty easy pull to go with an PS5 over an Xbox X. The likelihood I get other games is high, but they weren't the main draw.

Or basically anyone who is okay with a lot of story being delivered through text (albeit generally voice acted). It's a legitimate masterpiece of a game from a writing perspective.

I bought a PS4 when it first came out because I was so excited for Kingdom Hearts 3. By the time KH3 came out I had moved, got divorced and ended up so busy that I never even bought KH3.
You made the right decision, you never know what could kill your FF7 dream!
I did get my PS4 back from my brother and got NHL24 going for my son...maybe there's still time for me.

Space Marines 2 is fun but get real grindey real quick. Whole game feels like a DLC but still is a great time especially if you’re into 40k. Can’t speak on PVP as I would rather eat glass than play anything PVP but the PVE is alright. About a 10 hour main game and six PVE maps. Maybe don’t pay $70 for it but I’d get it on sale for sure. Who doesn’t want to be a space marine?

I did this crazy thing called "actually playing it" and "forming my own opinion". Wild, I know.

I still can't believe that they've brought back the whole FF7 thing to be honest. We're nearly a decade out from that original surprise trailer drop and such excitement by the gaming community for it. Don't know that I've seen such unmitigated joy from gamers for a game announcement in my life.
Variations in review scores aside, the fact that they're pretty well enjoyed with such lofty expectations is pretty darn awesome. Nostalgia is a heck of a thing and it's nice for another generation to enjoy it too.
Now they just have to Remake FF6 when this series is done.

Not if the same idiots are doing it. Stop messing with the game. You don't need to make it "better". You're not capable of doing so, clearly. If you're going to #### around just leave it as it is.

Playing the technical alpha of Flight Sim 2024 right now.
Glad to report that unlike 2020 when it came out, the planes actually feel like planes this time. Much better physics

15 hours into the Remake. I'm upset about the rails you're put on with no real ability to double back once you move on from a Chapter, but they've done a fantastic job of translating Midgar to a new era. It feels familiar, but alive. The plot points as they happen feel familiar, but expanded upon in a good way. The new story points they have added in mostly feel like they make sense for the story, they also make you care more about what were originally very minor or minimally interacted with characters.
Combat is... unnecessarily complicated when compared to the original, but I guess this is what the kiddies want now. There is also too much materia.
