On the latter front, while he has referenced Hannibal Lecter multiple times in speeches he's never said that he thinks Lecter is or was a real person (he has called him "the late Hannibal Lecter" for some reason, despite the fact that the character doesn't die in the movies, and none of the actors who have played him are dead).
So, yeah, those are the facts.

These one say it all
Rolling Stone interview, September 2015
“After I met Ivanka and praised her to her father, he said, ‘Yeah, she's really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren't happily married and, ya know, her father . . .’”
During a March 6, 2006 episode of The View, Donald Trump made a casual remark that really made my skin crawl. When a host asks how Donald Trump would feel about his daughter posing for Playboy, he says that “Ivanka posing for Playboy would be really disappointing… not really. But it would depend on what was inside the magazine … I don’t think Ivanka would [do a nude shoot] inside the magazine. Although she does have a very nice figure. I’ve said that if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”
Also, if he says the late great Hannibal Lecter it sure seems like he think it is a real person.

“But I believe he’s probably the wrong choice” would be the exact quote that makes me suspect Nate Silver doesn’t like it. Silly of me.
Btw the concerns about Pennsylvania are hopefully overblown. Going back to George bush sr it’s been blue ever presidential election except for Hillary.

Howard Stern said can we call her a piece of ass, and he said yeah most likely was drooling. Same interview called her voluptuous.
Another interview when she said real estate and golf are things they have in common, he said sex.
That is just Ivanka, who he very clearly is attracted to in a disgusting manner.
Also calls him the "late great hannibal lecter" I think he thinks its a real person.

All of that is fine, I don't dispute that Trump is a complete creep and clearly sexually attracted to his own daughter. I was simply pointing out that the poster said two things were "facts" when they're actually not facts.
Anyway, with all the reaction on the cable networks to the pick and the general horse race stuff about "where does he get you votes" what I haven't seen much of is the point that this signals a policy / ideology emphasis for the campaign.
People were very quick to note that picking Kelly, a senator from a border state, would signal an emphasis on immigration as an issue. But Walz does the same sort of thing, except it's an emphasis on labor. This is a guy who was accused by an opponent of being "in the pocket of the unions" and responded by saying "that's a damned lie: I AM the pocket".
There are really only a few reasons to make this pick over Shapiro. First, he mollifies the left wing of the party who didn't want Shapiro. Second, he's a good attack dog, as the "weird" campaign indicates, because he can take shots at the other guys without seeming meanspirited. Third, he speaks to blue collar workers in a way that makes him seem like he's one of them, or at least the sort of guy they'd want to deal with. Given how important PA is, they absolutely have to successfully leverage all THREE of those advantages to make him the right pick over Shapiro.

“After I met Ivanka and praised her to her father, he said, ‘Yeah, she's really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren't happily married and, ya know, her father . . .’”
From a recent Rally:
"All month, Trump tended to introduce the figure of Dr. Lecter — “a lovely man” — by noting that the press would respond with bafflement and alarm, as they had been for months. He was altogether defensive at a rally following the RNC in Charlotte, North Carolina: “You know, they go crazy when I say ‘the late, great Hannibal Lecter,” he said. “They say, ‘Why would he mention Hannibal Lecter, he must be cognitively in trouble?’ No, no. These are real stories. Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lamb"

You said that Trump said he would #### his own daughter - as a fact, or "words out of his mouth". He never said those words, so that's not a fact - what he DID say, as I and others have quoted, is probably even worse given how many times he's said things to this effect. You said he thinks Lecter is a real person - that may be your interpretation of what he said, and maybe he did think that, but he never said so, and apparently he knows Lecter is from a movie. So those aren't facts. The actual facts are bad enough. If you're going to say things are "facts", they should actually be accurate.
Can we stop now? This argument is stupid. Nobody is disagreeing that he's mentally deficient, frequently confused about reality and/or outright delusional, or arguing that he's not a repeat sexual abuser or creep. Well, nobody except the cultist, firewhatever.

You are correct. I shouldn't misuse the word fact. I stand corrected.

What a contrast in VP picks.
Walz is that wise old guy, very likeable and relatable. Kind of like your dad (if you liked your dad, I guess).
Vance is that chubby young doosh who's trying to make himself look older and stronger by shaving a jaw-line into his neck beard. And he won't shut up about how much he likes Mountain Dew for some reason. The only thing that could make him seem more immature at this point is if he literally took a sip from a juicebox on stage.

Will Vance debate Walz?
They should set up couches and create a inmate experience for it if so.

Lol Vance is weird in the fact that I can't tell wtf he's trying to do. Is he actually bat#### crazy or just going along with it for the grift? Does he have no shame? His poor wife and kids...or do they not care as well if they come out with more $$$? Baffling stuff.

PA looks like the most fragile of those 3 key Northern states. If Harris wins PA, Trump has no path to victory.
If she wins PA, she has like a 95%+ chance of winning. If PA doesn't matter, then she's either won in a rout or lost in a rout.

What ever happened to George Bush and Jeb? They can't be happy with what the Republican party looks like now.
The former Lt. Governor of Georgia Duncan is campaigning for Harris. He defended Kemp, and Kemp turned around and kissed Donald's ass after he based him and his family.
Are there enough of these people in the Republican party to boot Trump and the other nut jobs like Greene and Borbert.

Walz is a really good pick.
First off, his background is so different from typical politicians will be valuable. A school teacher turned politician with a solid record of getting things done.
Secondly his small-town midwest personality will be useful in contrasting the weird people and policies of the GOP. I think he can really frame talking points and demonstrate the democrat policies that benefit the majority of americans.
Finally, he is as 'old white dude' as you can get. This makes the ticket seem more approachable for older white independents and RINO's. Watching videos of trump and Vance is just so, so different than watching a guy like Walz.
