While I still think Stars will win, how's everyone feeling about the potential of Greasers vs FLA or NYR and how they'd match up? I'm personally starting to think no matter who wins the West the cup is going Eastern Conference this year.

If (big IF) the Oilers move on, I'd warn against anyone thinking Bennett or Trouba will lay a big hit like they have up to this point against say, McDavid or Draisaitl.

Its not going to happen.

Don't really want to go there yet but it certainly seems like better hockey and outstanding goaltending on both sides. I can't see the Rangers/Panthers unwilling or unable to shoot the ####ing puck!

I'm pulling for Dallas for the cup but I don't love their chances either in the final

I don't know. He put up decent goals and points in the regular season but I didn't watch him much throughout the year. I have noticed that I too haven't noticed him in the playoffs. Is he done after June or is he just injured and likely to come back on a one year contract?

If Dallas wins the cup then I would not be surprised if retires this off season. But if he's injured and they don't win the Cup, does he give it one more try?

I would hope Bennett breaks Leon's face.

No wait Kane's.

Too many tempting options to choose from. What a despicable team.

Dallas is a gutless team. Up 2-0 about to a take a 3-1 lead on a garbage hockey team, can close it out at home and they just quit.

What happened to Benn? Can't be dirty against your buddies in Edmonton? What a freak.

Spears guys in the eyes, but is a choir boy now?

Nope, you'd have to be a real big POS to wish for a human to be hurt because of a game he plays for our entertainment. That is total twat behaviour.

Oh...
The hypocrisy in pretending like you're different or don't ever think that is funny.

The difference is Kane is villainous scum. It would just be karmic scales balancing and would warm the hearts of many, including sick kids, the elderly, and victims of his reckless behavior.

You cheer for a collection of the some of the worst people in the game. That you don't experience any cognitive dissonance knowing what those guys are says enough about how unqualified you are to virtue signal lol.

Edmonton is No Good

I think we've been pretty clear over the years that wishing or cheering injuries isn't really the kind of place we want it to be around here, no matter the team or sport.

Ignore these embarrasing posts. This definitely doesnt represent the fan base for Calgary.

Not sure how either of these posters bring anything towards being the kind of place you want it around here. The board sure has gone downhill over the years

You'd be a great candidate to join Connor's neighborhood watch of crybabies. They're recruiting!

No one is actually actively meditating on such a thing (well i hope), myself included. If the situation happened I hope Bennett would wreck them with playoff Bennett physicality. I said break their face cause I hate their faces. I don't think such a literal thing would actually happen even if he tried. It's called hyperbole with a dash of contempt. Maybe you've seen it once or twice on a sports forum.

If I was "praying" for an injury I'd say a specific and real hockey injury that happens.

Let me be clear, so that I hopefully never have to again:

When it comes to the oilers, a vast amount of my posts are tongue in cheek/hyperbolic. I think it's the fact that it sets off/triggers the resident oiler fans that keeps my scorn level at 100. It's hilarious to me because it's become quickly a personal issue/vendetta for them and the number of haters has rapidly grown.

Figure out the schtick already. Most have.

Except for you oiler fans. Don't stop getting bent out of shape, because its great entertainment for me.

Yes, I hate the oilers. But it's a game and I'm well aware of that. Thank you for your concern.

Oiler fans need things that are patently obvious to everyone else explained to them in the simplest of terms.

I still don't get how you go up 2-0 and you have all the momentum, and then like a light switch the effort just stops. I don't know how one of the top 4 teams left just decides to not try for the rest of the game.

Is there any explanation? This is the Stanley Cup playoffs. You aren't supposed to be taking shifts off, never mind entire periods or games as the Stars and Canucks have been doing against this team.

Unfortunately, to play Devils advocate that's exactly what the coilers did in game 3 . Game 4 played out exactly like game 3 with the teams reversed.

I doubt it’s as simple as Dallas deciding to start eating copious amounts of fudge.

There are 2 teams out there. Sometimes the other team simply takes over.

While no one likes to admit it, Edmonton is a decent team capable of winning any game. And losing any game . That’s the NHL.

Momentum can change with the drop of a hat. The Oilers may appear to have it right now, but that’s likely just an illusion. There is no reason why Dallas cannot simply take over next game.

The big problem is the series has shortened to 3 games. The shorter the series, the more randomness plays a part. And I’m not that comfortable leaving the series up to randomness.
