Flames don't need another veteran goalie if you want the Vladar/Wolf tandem. Also, don't need to take back salary as well. Also, I doubt Brodie wants to be back in a Flames uniform when he's near home and have Gio playing with him.

I'll retain healthy skepticism towards the alleged forum insiders if I like!

It's still fun, but I have serious doubts about Mr. GIF and Frog guy. Maybe they know a guy that knows a guy, but I haven't been impressed by either's "intel" to this point.

That's not to dissuade any one from enjoying their posts. It's just my own skepticism chiming in. And that's bringing fun for me personally.

But policing the skeptics in a way brings an extra layer of wet blanket to the whole deal, since I get the impression that you're not doing it in good fun, whereas that's where I'm coming from.

I’m not sure what you’re asking. He’s done more than enough to earn a shot in the NHL, but he actually has to earn staying up by playing well in the NHL, that’s all (and I’m confident he will).

2 years? He was a Vezina finalist the year before last. Perhaps you’ve been eating too much paste to notice, but quality goalies are hard to come by. Just look up north… or look at us between Kipper and Markstrom. Goalies are very often up and down in terms of performance from season to season. We’re fortunate to have a goalie as good as Markstrom - just look around the league, consistently good goalies are the exception.

I'm pretty sure the majority of the posters in here would welcome a trade for him out of here. I mean sure if his cap hit is under $4mil, but we can't afford him and what he brings in game in game out.
