This is all too funny. Now imagine a scenario where that goal gets called back on some bull#### technicality that may or may not have happened. And the Oilers win the game. Who's getting screwed then?
And all this talk about best player in the world. If he truly was miles ahead of everyone he shouldn't need all the special treatment to win games. He would just win them on merit.

Wow. This moron writer, Jim Parsons, is actually advocating for superstars being able to make calls on the ice. I know he's from Edmonton but this guy is a really special kind of stupid. I can't believe what I read.
He’s sure no Sheldon Cooper, that’s for sure!!

I'm still trying to wrap my head around woodcrofts if the greatest player in the game saw the high stuck it has to be true comment. So if anyone on the 4th line threw their hands up calling high sticking we wouldn't believe them as only the player who's the best in the world could come to a conclusion of whether or not it was a high stick

Anyone think this is all to try and shame the refs into giving the greatest team EVER a crapload of penalties tomorrow night?
Absolutely that's what they're trying to do. Every Oiler fanboy knows that that team lives and dies by the McPP and that it's the only advantage they have over other teams.
Their incessant whining has worked in the past, but I have a feeling it just might backfire this time. I honestly believe the officials are getting sick of the Oilers' and McDavid's constant bulls***.
Oilers twitter is absolutely unhinged. Seeing the arguments for penalties that should be called is absolutely hilarious.
Apparently a stick on stick slash should be called.
If you lean on McDavid for a second against the boards it's the same as Kostin making a conscious effort to hold down a player down in the slot for 4 seconds.

I sure hope the refs are sick of their antics. After the series against the Jets where the Jets played them tight and the refs called a playoff series, and they got swept. After that, they came out, especially McDiver, whining and complaining that the refs weren't calling anything. Then last years playoff, the refs called everything against their opponents and they dive and dive and got past the Kings and the Flames. So, I'm not surprised that they are running the same script. Let's see if the refs react the same way and calling everything on the Kings and let them get away with murder.

I am so glad all this is on display for everyone to see. That team is so irritating. I was reading Reddit threads today about the game and there were a few people positing who said that they were not Oiler fans but were rooting for the Oilers in the playoffs because of McDavid and Draisaitl, but now after seeing how they act and the entitlement of the fanbase, they have done a 180.

Why were they rooting for those two morons in the first place? There's literally no one I like on that team, not even Ryan, he's in full Oilers stink.

I think they were just random casual fans from areas that only see the highlights and don't have a lot of exposure to the Oilers. One of them was a Rangers fan I think.

Fans from places that Oilers fans don't bother with. I can't even watch a Flames post-game show on YouTube without them showing up in the chat and mouthing off. They have nothing better to do.
I didn't even know they looked at high stick pucks before a goal until now. There needs to be some kind of statute of limitation. Unless the high stick assisted on the goal I don't care if it was missed. Same with offside. Unless the goal was scored off the rush it shouldn't matter. As others have mentioned the reviews are more like a random get out of jail free card than something making the game fairer.
Kings in 5. Let's go!
