Has anyone’s (accident free) premiums gone up 30%? Curious how others are doing. Mine are down about 15% since I bought my last new vehicle in 2019.

Mine kept going up significantly. No claims, accidents or anything on a 2012 car. I had to switch insurance providers to get a decent rate.

Sounds fake or you were overpaying in 2019.

It is one of the things that pisses me off the most. Letting cellphone companies and insurance companies gauge the #### out of us.

I did switch companies once and threaten to switch a couple times. But I shop every year.

House insurance went up a bit. Wasn’t able to keep that down, but I do have a recent claim.

Side story: Don't go with RBC Insurance. I made an auto claim in early October (someone hit me in a parking lot). It is now the middle of December, and I still haven't heard a peep from them since, even after filing the claim, calling the assigned agent multiple times, sending her emails... it's like they don't exist. ####ing terrible. I'm at my wit's end and switching to All-State where my buddy works at.

Meloche is sooo bad ever since they switched to TD Insurance. Just terrible. I've been with Meloche since 1997.

Up here as well.

Ours actually wasn't really vehicle/driving related, I think one driver noted was that surrounding communities essentially had had an increase of vandalism, stealing etc related to vehicles the past year or something. So increased because of where we live, and I think a bigger second driver was that our area just has bad drivers, higher claim rates (for anything, accidents, etc). Or some such thing.

My car basically sits in the garage 5 days a week and yet the rates continue to go up. Thanks UCP!

I have started to drive less and less since 2019 and down to just go to the office when required any appointments the gym and any stores that are basically a walk away unless I need larger items.

My premium continues to climb every year. Drive less pay more. **** the UCP .

I have a similar story regarding All-State, so don't expect it to be any better. It took little over a year to have my car fixed and only part of my deductible paid back because they weren't interested in arguing my case to the other driver's insurance (rear ended in a roundabout). I recieved exactly 3 emails and 1 call in those 13 months while I left at least 4 messages a month throughout.

Insurance companies are simply a license to steal.

And their voters! We ended up here because voters chose these baffoons and many plan to do it again. Make sure to vote NDP - no staying at home, guys.
