Last 6 games:
Corsi: 54.6%
Shots: 56.6% (223-171)
High Danger: 53.9% (77-66)
Expected Goals: 53.0% (19.9 - 17.6)
Actual Goals: 39.5% (15 - 23)
Shooting %: 6.73%
Save %: .866
PDO: .933
They are working hard, just squeezing sticks too tight now and can’t get a big save when they need it with some softies thrown in there to top it off.

Like I say I only caught the third but the Flames looked good but unlucky. Markstrom did not look good.

and if that were enough to make a save too difficult, games would end 9-8

I watched the replay. Hischier had to shoot it cause Weegar cut off his angle to walk in alone. Goaltending like this isn't going to take us anywhere. He lets in a soft one and or a back breaker every game. Whether the expectation is too much to ask for or not, you have to elevate your game and help the team in front of you find a way. Sub .900 save percentage and being the 2nd best goalie every game is getting old.

Huberdeau was to be our replacement for Gaudreau. So far, he can't hold a candle to Gaudreau.
Gaudreau could take the play up the ice and make things happen. Huberdeau has been a no-show.

1986 also had 16 out of 21 teams make the playoffs.

I don't care if Hrudey was right, and Nicco fooled Markstrom into thinking it was going up high... 1) he's a veteran goalie making $6M a year, it should be harder to fool him than that; 2) the shot was slow enough and from far enough out that he should have been able to get something in front of it; 3) keep your friggin pads closed and on the ice.

and? markstrom played for the high shot based on the shooters hands, in this case the shooter got him with a little move. A perfect shot dude.

100% Agree.
Markstrom - your team has lost 5 straight games. Time to earn your pay cheque and win one for the team. Isn't he the 2nd highest paid player on the team?

Huberdeau didn't even play why are we blaming him?
He was great yesterday in his limited ice time.
