I get what you're saying, but that shot was slid along the ice between the 5-hole from the edge of the left faceoff circle.

I don't care if Hrudey was right, and Nicco fooled Markstrom into thinking it was going up high... 1) he's a veteran goalie making $6M a year, it should be harder to fool him than that; 2) the shot was slow enough and from far enough out that he should have been able to get something in front of it; 3) keep your friggin pads closed and on the ice.

If he’s looking at anything but the puck he ####ed up.

I wonder if by unfinished business Sutter mean getting us our first ever 1st overall puck. The way he's coaching and over reliance on Markstrom who sucks makes it feel that way.

I don’t think that’s what he meant.

I think we should change the team name to the Calgary JamesNeals.

I have to say, it must be fun as an Oilers fan right now to think of their impact on the Flames (whether it is direct or now)

Playoffs - completely broke down the Flames and both Gaudreau and Tkachuk leave
Next season - beat the Flames that starts a 6 game losing streak

It's like Edmonton completely dismantles this team every time they play the Flames.

The team as a whole is not getting it done.
He let in a wrist shot from the top of the circle. Not every goal was his fault tonight, but his sub .900 on the season so far is a strong indicator that he is an issue too

Hey on the bright side, I'd rather have the big losing streak now rather than in the spring

All Markstrom has to do is cut off the angle. Should have been a routine save but he slid out of position

It was a terrible goal

Lots of players have been bad, but come on Sutter deserves some of the blame as well here. Huberdeau/Lindholm woke up from hibernation yesterday and looked to start rolling and what does Sutter do? Roll all 4 lines with basically equal ice time. Yes, the likes of Lucic were playing just as much as the top 6. Before the start of the 3rd, the 4th line actually had more ice time. One mistake by the top 6, and the get their ice time cut while Lucic constantly takes penalties/turnovers and he's playing way more than he should for a 4th liner. I like Lucic, but Sutter's obsession with guys like Lucic and Lewis is maddening. If the team is going to be at all considered a top contender, you need guys like Huberdeau and Lindholm to get going. Feed them O-zone starts, give them 18 minutes - 20 minutes a night. Let them play out the funk. What is playing the 4th line 16 mins a night accomplishing

So much for the defensive depth right now, back end is in shambles without Tanev. And some people here were advocating trades from the backend at the start of the season

obviously you don't get it if you think im saying he was lights out. im replying to the embarrassing blame the goalie posts. He's had some bad goals but this wasn't one of them. Why was that player wide open and allowed to walk in with enough time to make a better shot?

And again, You think scoring 2 goals is enough to win?
