I've had it for about 3 months. It has about 1700 miles on it. does that still constitute the break in period?

Love them both. The Stang is brutal on gas though. They both fly car flags.....

Beleive it or not, much more room then our 2000 Focus had. Easier to put a car seat in and take a kid in and out. Lots of trunk space too. Couldn't say no to the 60 month, 0% financing

Oh I believe it....since it is a mid-size and the Focus is a compact. Good cars I hear. On the same platform as the Mazda 6 (and I guess, the European Mondeo) I just wonder why they don't just bring the Mondeo here.

They are quite different actually, but yeah that's basically the reason, the sedan can have AWD instead of only RWD for the coupe.. But I've been reading even the sedan has a 75/25 back to front bias for the AWD and that it's still a bit more challenging than the Audi 50/50 AWD that I'm used to right now.
That and the coupe seems to be more of a sports car, wider wheels, lower, rouger ride I'm sure, etc.

Nice! Where did you have it dyno'd? I'm looking for a place with a rolling road...

Actually, (IMO) the really cool thing about the G35x is that it can go from a F:R distribution of 0:100 to 50:50.
So in the summer on nice dry roads, you get the fun handling and performance of a RWD car, and then when things get icy, you're getting the traction of AWD.

At 1700 miles it should be broken in... if your fuel economy is way below listed you should get it checked out, because I've heard of a couple cases where something was wrong with the car from the factory that killed the gas mileage.

Went to the dealership today to look at them (G35s), and I still can't decide. The Coupe is such a nice looking car, but it's RWD and I'm still not positive how it would be in Calgary as a winter daily driver.
The sedan is a nice car too, the downside there is I want a 2007 model for the newer styling, but I don't want to buy new, so finding a used 2007 might be tough, and it'll be more than a used coupe.
Anyone know anyone in Calgary who drives a coupe year round?

I know 2 people. Both have good winter tires and have no problems.

Yep, everything I have heard is that as long as you get a good set of winter tires, the coupe is fine in winter.
