Exactly. The rule isn’t whether the skate pushes the puck into the net. The rule is whether there is a “distinct kicking motion” so that players aren’t trying to kick their skates in the crease and soccer the puck into the net.

Coleman continued skating towards the puck — which he is allowed to do — and then his skate literally stopped as he fell/was pushed onto the ice. It won’t make a difference at the end of the day but I’d like to hear a justification for why the call on the ice was overturned.

This is where I’m leaning, too … Vladar should’ve been in goal for Game 4. Sutter should’ve recognized they only needed average goaltending to beat the Oilers, Vladar likely provides that.

Markstrom is normally so strong positionally but he lost his net and many of the goals in this series. Many of the goals would’ve simply hit a goalie that was in proper position, that was the difference in the series.

I’m not concerned about Marky moving forward, he’s a great goalie. He wasn’t on his game for whatever reason. Everyone could see that, so I don’t get why he was in there the past 2 games.

It was hard to watch Hanifin struggle all series. I was concerned before the season started, thinking he wasn’t a top pairing guy, but I felt he proved me wrong all season … but he just couldn’t keep up in this series… hard to know what to make of that for next season.

It’s true that the players didn’t play well, but I felt Woodcroft out coached Sutter, too. I just didn’t see any adjustments made, at all.

3. …I don’t think I like where this team goes from here. I don’t see how they can address the top-end of the roster when the bottom of the roster is as bloated as it is.

Also, good for Mikael Backlund. He had a good series. Ditto with Gaudreau.

Eric Furlatt never fails to #%^* us over. He’s a terrible ref.

I agree with your first point. Markstrom was brutal and cost us the series.

For the second point I disagree because both of these guys are still developing and are 2-3 years away from their prime/peak. 98pt pairing both just 25 years old and paid like second pair guys. I do wonder how this team would have looked with Hampus Lindholm on the second pair instead of Kylington? (Rumored to be heavily involved in those trade talks).

For the third point it is promising that the AHL team is on a heater. Pelletier, Zary, Coronato coming in the next couple years. Wolf may replace Markstrom in 2 years if he keeps this up.

They need to sign Gaudreau and see if Chucky wants to stay. Those guys are most important and keeping Johnny is a must where at least Tkachuk can be dealt if they want to retool the team.

Ask Vegas! They've been enjoying golf season for a month now, so you might be able to catch him at the pro shop.

Flames fans expecting the NHL to be embarrassed over the officiating in almost every series - it is not going to happen. They don't give a crap as long as the revenue keeps coming. And they have what they want now, a WCF with McBaby in it.

Mad props to Chris Tanev. What a freaking warrior. Get well, Chris. I don't know what will happen this summer, but I sure hope he comes back healthy.

I defy you to find a single Sutter quote that talked about the Oilers in anything but the most glowing terms.

Not one.

Prove me wrong.

The medical staff seriously let Tanev play through an injury that requires surgery. Have they not learned anything from what happened to Monny?

You’re the one with the idiot comment about him being a UFA. Get over yourself, and thank him for educating you.

You just know the no goal call was brutal when basically only Oilers fans are agreeing with it and some of them are even agreeing it was bad.

Just saw the OT replay. Why was Hanafin so soft on the puck? Just coughed it up.

Toronto overruled both McCauley and Furlatt, who called it a good goal on the ice. Fix was in from above.

There was no confidence on the rest of the defense and who can blame them. It was a #### show

Old fans don't make good fans. You do better and I'll take you more seriously. All you do is post extremely negative takes on everything. That's not being a fan, that's being a....what did you call me... oh yeah....###### bag.
