And how would the Flames ever possibly replace #1 defenseman Mark Giordano?

I know Andersson had a pretty bad year last season, but I distinctly remember a certain poster for most of last season and all through the summer unrelentingly banging his drum about how overpaid and over-rated he was as a top-four defenseman moving forward. That guy looks pretty dumb now.

And here we are a year later with the answer to all the hand-wringing about the hole left by Giordano.

Yeah I still can't believe people on here questioning his contract earlier in the season. Dude just won two cups and was an important piece on the winning team.

I just love how Sutter manages expectations with his pressers. Talks about players roles, top players are supposed to score, guys like Lewis are supposed to shut down opposing top players, Markstrom is supposed to make big saves. To me it really lays a foundation for these guys to succeed and normalizes these performances to a point of making them no big deal so players feel like they should and can play that way on a regular basis. Just so smart.

Flames show how good they can be with relentless showing against two-time defending Cup champs.

Johnny did most of the damage but every line contributed in some way to that victory.

Pretty, pretty, good
These stats confirm the logic side of my brain which tells me I think we’re good. My emotional side won’t let me be satisfied until round 3. I know I’m a regular fan. It’s hard to make Canadian hockey fans happy.

He watched that old Donald Duck film we used to get to show us the Pythagorean theorem using pool shots.

Darryl is a genius; he's been harping on cup winners lately (more than usual), he went out of his way to mention Coleman and Lewis' four combined cups and said something last game about Backlund being here for 800 games, but never winning. This is a daily thing for him, grind it into these guys, you're not a winner, until you win. That's the goal. That's it. Win.

Oilfans are such aholes, they can't say any Flames' players names without a childish play on words.

They're also delusional "Tampa looks much better than CGY tonight" it was pretty even until we blew it open! Are they ever salty, but it's funny to see some of them actually admit we're good lol
