I'm kind of curious how they do get the weapons in. I am assuming that they get delivered to the border of one of the NATO countries, then the Ukrainian military picks them up. There can't be any safe air corridors, can there?

I think there is "safe" airports in the west part of the country. I saw a video of Georgian ex-military volunteers deplaning from a C5 galaxy somewhere in Ukraine yesterday.

If it makes you feel any better, I didn’t think you were being manipulative, I just thought you were doing the thing you do where you word something poorly and get mad when it’s understood in the exact way you worded it

Your post doesn't read like you are lamenting anything, your post said that because we can get weapons we should be able to get out the people. This statement puts blame on the western power for the humanitarian crisis, when there are only two countries to blame, Russia and Belarus.
Either that or you didn't think about the logistics involved in moving inanimate objects vs people. (which in the emotion of this crisis I'd understand, but your "thanks for the input" comment clearly this isn't the case)
If you did not mean to assign blame for the humanitarian crisis on the countries helping Ukraine, fine (not like I'm one to talk for accidentally saying something I didn't mean on a post). If you did mean to put blame on anyone but Russia and Belarus for the humanitarian crisis, my outrage stands.

Ukraine has large land borders with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania so you can just drive trucks over the border and hand the keys to Ukrainian soldiers.
Russia also seems to be avoiding the west, so there are probably safe airports there.
There have also been reports of pilots travelling out of the country to pick planes up, so I guess their logistic officers could do the same.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. It would be great if they had extra troops to come in from the border with the weapons and hit the Russians from behind but I doubt that is how battles work.

Slava I don’t generally agree with most of what you post but I’d be lying if I said how much you’re doubling down on this one isn’t a little entertaining to watch.
Edit- nice I caught this before you edited your post

Good news: The Swedes have sent guns
Bad news: You have to assemble them yourself

Really interesting thread of tweets about why we may be seeing so many abandoned Russian vehicles and why it may be big for the Ukraine efforts (spoiler alert - more Russian incompetence)

Young men shouldn't be taking seats from women and children.
I am pretty sure that most, if not all foreign nationals in Ukraine were asked by their home countries to leave days, if not weeks before the war broke out.

When were single guys "taking seats"?
In terms of people fleeing the cities, the trains were letting everybody on, whether or not they had fare.

Ukraine invites Russian mothers to fetch captured soldiers
"A decision has been taken to hand over captured Russian troops to their mothers if they come to collect them in Ukraine, in Kyiv. Unlike Putin's fascists, we Ukrainians are not waging war against mothers and their captured children," the defence ministry said in a statement.

Now they're in trouble.

Use of the Nazi rhetoric seems almost like a way to personally attack the Ukrainian president, who is Jewish and lost most of his relatives in the holocaust.

Yes . There are people that support Russia outside of Russia .

Someday there's going to be a movie made about this war, and there's gonna be some real funny moments.
