I’m sure it’s been said by others in this thread, but it’s pretty terrible that we seem to be able to get weaponry in, but can’t get people out of Ukraine.
I don't think you're wrong; there is very little precedent for a city that is as important and large as Kiev is to Ukraine to fall in 48 hours if it has determined defenders. Even Baghdad didn't fall that quickly, and that was at the end of a multi-week air and ground campaign with the Hussein regime in collapse.
And the Russian Army's best forces weren't even deployed into the Kievan front. The 1st Guards Tank Army and the 58th Combined Arms Army started in the East and Crimea respectively.
US had 4400 or so deaths in the entire Iraq war/occupation/whatever else they were doing there. Russia has lost somewhere between 500 (per Russia) to 6000 (per Ukraine and western sources) in a matter of days.
The real Russian death number is probably at the mid point of that spread. The US lost 900 people or so from March to December in Iraq.
So timewise it may not be different but they are taking on a lot of casualties.
There should be a window alotted for citizens/expats trapped or stranded to be retrieved safely.
Not their war.
Call me old fashioned, but I think children and one primary care giver per child should be prioritized (typically the mother), followed by the elderly, then able bodied women, and then able bodied men - regardless of nationality. I know it is probably an outdated concept to some, but I find the footage of young single men escaping cringey regardless of whether they are Ukrainians or foreigners. Young men shouldn't be taking seats from women and children.
I am pretty sure that most, if not all foreign nationals in Ukraine were asked by their home countries to leave days, if not weeks before the war broke out.

What are you talking about? Over a million people have fled the country.

To take your chance in the thick of a rush, with firing all about,
Is nothing so bad when you’ve cover to ‘and, an’ leave an’ likin’ to shout;
But to stand an’ be still to the Birken’ead drill is a damn tough bullet to chew,
An’ they done it, the Jollies — ‘Er Majesty’s Jollies — soldier an’ sailor too!
Does anyone outside of Russia (or possibly one of Putin's puppet states) support Russia's war in the Ukraine? I'd be curious to see what the rationale is. Putin's line is that Ukraine is not a democracy at all, but some kind of Neo-Nazi state trying to force themselves upon the Ukrainians who yearn for liberation. It's totally non-sensical.
Use of the Nazi rhetoric seems almost like a way to personally attack the Ukrainian president, who is Jewish and lost most of his relatives in the holocaust.
There is significant support for the invasion in the QAnon community. The logic runs more-or-less like this:
1) Ukraine is deeply connected to the Deep State/Cabal. Different people will describe different levels of connection depending on which part of the overall Q-Conspiracy they believe.
2) Joe Biden is personally connected to Ukraine through his son. They point to the impeachment of Trump over his phone call with Zelensky and his son being on the board of Burisma. Clearly there is something going on between the Biden/Obama/Clinton group and Ukraine.
3) There are Deep-State Biolabs all over Ukraine A number of labs in Ukraine recieve some kind of funding from the west in the form of various grants from various governments and organizations. The Qanon community has decided these labs are all, therefore, clearly bioweapon facilities where the sequel to Covid was being brewed up and this is, in fact, what Putin is targeting in his invasion.
4) Putin is a "White-Hat" In the QAnon world, Putin is one of the good guys. Through Trump's friendliness to him, it has been decided that Putin is outside of the NWO/Deep State/Cabal and is actively fighting them.
Add these things together and what you have is a group of people in the west who are actively supporting the invasion by Russia, cheering for it, and trying their hardest to spread Russian propaganda in whatever chanels the have access to. At least a couple of the Qanon forums have stickied posts with Russian sources linked so users can more easily "discredit" the deep state fake news with the "truth."
Ultimately, everyone everywhere should be overwhelmingly glad that Donald Trump is not in control of the US right now. Whatever your personal feelings about Biden and democratic/progressive political policies, given the choice betwen Trump and Biden, Biden is so many orders of magnitude better for this situation than Trump it's like comparing a birthday cake sparkler to the sun.

I've seen the rationale that the Ukranian government is so corrupt that the Russian government got sick of the corruption and are going into "save" the Ukranian people.

I think anyone that believes in QAnon needs to be launched into the sun.
Either that, or made to trade places with a Ukrainian citizen that is desperately trying to escape hell.

I doubt it's at the midpoint. US intelligence has been incredibly accurate about everything so far, if US sources are estimatng 6000 russian casualties, I'm certain the real number is damn close and not down around 2-3000.

Over a million people have fled as refugees.
But even still, it's much easier to ship inanimate objects, then living breathing human beings that require things to keep them alive like food, water, sanitation. Also, the risk factors of moving a human that might die vs if a weapon gets damaged, broken, or destroyed....
So no it isn't terrible and the countries that Birder Ukraine seem to being doing a good job.

Never change CP! I know people have fled. There are millions more who are trapped and would love to flee. And yeah, obviously shipping arms is easier than shipping people. Thanks for the valuable input?
I mean I feel like it’s obvious that my point was more on the humanitarian disaster that’s taking place and not about the logistics of shipping or about whether anyone else has fled.

Apparently your initial point wasn’t as obvious as you thought. Make some changes, Slava.

Your post read like a Rebel News headline.
Manipulative attack on the countries helping Ukraine with things that seem true if you only take a passing glance...
But really it's just a manipulative political post, and your claims that you care about the humanitarian crisis rings hollow.
