what? Lindholm started overtime with Mangi, and Tkachuk was also out there later on. The line combinations were actually good tonight for OT. Glad Sutter didn't go with the exact same lineups that lost us the last 5 OTs. And Monahan is way to damn slow for OT

Through a quarter of the season, without hesitation, the Flames are the hardest working and best battling team in the NHL.
Team defence and goaltending win the end game! Top of the league in both !
And this even with our somewhat underwhelming offense.
Goes to show you can still win if you're tighter than a ziplock bag on defense, as a team. Sutter wouldn't walk into this trainwreck in mid last season and say outright he was winning ownership a cup if he didn't think a winning system could be implemented with this group of players.
This is a tough team. #1 defense, #8 offense, #7 PP. #2 PK
A ton of credit to Markstrom, of course, but a shout out to Sutter too. He's gotten them back on the rails. Doesn't hurt to get 15 goals from Mangiapane either.
Fortunately we play good teams fairly well.

They have insane PDO, have won against the West a grand total of one time, only seem to make it out of regulation if it’s a shut out (they don’t win one goal games) and outside of Mangiapane who has predictably started regression to the mean, can hardly score any goals.
They will make the playoffs only because the Pacific will end up being as mediocre as everyone was thinking it would despite the hot start of the Kings and Ducks (who are both starting to look like the teams they were expected to be).

Yeah you guys are right, Lindholm did have 3 shifts in OT for a total of 1:91 and Tkachuk with 1 for :33 seconds but none for Monahan. I didn't really notice Lindholm though.
